kristv 0 Posted July 17, 2006 Hey, gang! I've got a bit of a dilemma here. I have to keep one player on my team for next season, and as my league is pretty crazy about hording RB's I've decided I need to keep one of my RB's. My choices are: Edge Jordan Rhodes Now, I'm not so high on Rhodes but my understanding is that it's his job to lose. Edge is playing behind a poor O-line, but then, so is Lamont Jordan. So which guy do I keep? I'm leaning toward Edge, but everyone seems to have Jordan rated several spots higher than him, which I don't get.
Catch 0 Posted July 17, 2006 I would go with Jordan. Edge in a brand new offense will start off as a ? and Rhodes may not even the the #1 guy in Indy after a while.
remote controller 133 Posted July 17, 2006 Edge would be the safe choice, Jordan the upside choice, and Rhodes shouldn't even be considered.
KyPryd 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I'd go with Jordan. The Raiders should be better this year with Brooks at QB which will open up the passing lanes and get the defense off the line of scrimmage. Edge is a solid back but Arizona's offensive line scares me and the Cardinals will probably be playing from behind most of the time and will have to throw the ball. Either way, Jordan or Edge are good RB's
cntblah 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I am on the record saying Edge is not going to be a top 5, possibly not even a top 10 RB this year (fantasy-wise). Jordan is the clear choice and Rhodes does not even deserve mention..
Force of Two 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Jordan.....Ive said that Edge isnt going to amount to a 1st Round Worth this year...and likely ever again
Great White Hope 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I would also go with Jordan.
lguero1 4 Posted July 19, 2006 very tough choice. jordan has the toughest run defenses to go against. the edge has the easiest run defense schedule this year based on last year's rushing defenses. arizona had 162 negative yardage plays last year and that is partly o-line and partly shipp and arrington. if it is a ppr league, go with jordan and his 70 catches. if it is not, still go with jordan with and the unimaginative art shell. he'll get 40 - 50 more carries. Yikes! I didn't realize Jordan's matchups were so poor compared to Edge's. Hmmmm....that doesn't make me want to go with Jordan. Man, I could be screwed either way on this. tampa_fan_01 0 Posted July 19, 2006 go with jordan. shell will focus on the running game this year. his schedule will be offset because he will get more chances. last year he only had 19 attempts a game. this year they will pound the rock more.
footballchaos 0 Posted July 19, 2006 I think you're hurting here. Edge is getting long in the tooth, in a new system, behind a bad line now run by the former Texans line coach. Sure his schedule should be easier but that doesn't mean much to me. The Cards will still be behind in most of their games which means less carries for Edge. Jordan may have some bad match-ups but his level of talent out and the fact that other than the often injured Moss he is the only legit target on the team. (Porter does little for me.) I'd keep Jordan.
