Any random year in the 90's. There were enough special effects to look realistic but they didn't rely on them to heavily and the writing was still great.

How about the best weekend for movies: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=1994&wknd=41&p=.htm

Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, and Jurassic Park

Fun fact about 1994 as it relates to movies.. Jim Carrey is the first and only actor to have three number one movies in the same year. The Mask, Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber.

Funner fact; Haven't, won't watch that shiit.

Dude just isn't funny at all. And it turns out he's a lunatic on top of everything.

Reminds me of Tom Green. Wonder what happened to that idiot?

The only Jim Carey movie I've ever seen is the one about Andy Kaufman. Carey is like Robin Williams to me. Too much movement.

Totally agree... The only thing he was good in was "Man on the Moon"...

I enjoyed Ace Ventura, not going to lie. Liar Liar was funny as hell too, and Truman Show was an awesome concept

That's a good list, but I think we should just be friends.

Yeah, Mork and Mindy was comedic genius. And the unfunny Good Morning Vietnam too.

Robin Williams was tremendous, with great range. Carrey showed comedic brilliance, but at times over did it.

Both great stand up.

Funny that you include that. Its my wifes(36C) favorite movie. I probably have watched it 15 times.

Dumb and dumber was and still is a funny movie. Ace Ventura was hilarious.

I assume the people with no sense of humor also thought Austin Powers was unfunny?

That's not why. He had a degenerative brain condition. Let's not romanticize it.
