I meant to save a copy of that thread right after the bet. I'm not sure if I did. I'll have to check my computer when I get home. Ravens 03 was the creator and he along with several others called me bad names when I simply said that Reid still had a chance to win back in June. At that time, crazy Sharon Angle was neck and neck in her primary battle with an opponent who would probably would have beaten Harry.

What happened?

Ravens03 started a thread back in June. Discussion turned to Harry Reid. Both RP and Ravens03 said he was a dead duck and there was no way he'd win the election in November. Medstupid said he thought Reid had a chance. Recliner Pilot asked if he wanted to make a bet on it. Medstupid said yes and offered up the stakes that whoever's wrong leave the board forever. RP agreed and said "nice knowing you"

 

Reid won, so RP is history.

 

Not sure why Ravens03 would delete the thread, though. Sure looks fishy. Certainly appears that they may be one and the same.

Reid's got quite a vote-pushing machine in Nevada - he's closely tied to the casinos there (God knows IMO what they see in him, other than some form of power-pusher in Washington to do their bidding, I guess).

 

I think Reid is horrible for the US economy - but whatever. I thought Angle could eek it out. I was concerned about Reid's machine.

 

Of course, that machine didn't save his son..

 

That strikes me as odd, btw: wouldn't his son be a political clone to this father? I say that not knowing much about his son's politics...

 

I suspect shenanigans in that state, but I have no evidence - just suspicion. I don't trust Reid; I find him the second or third most reprehensible politician in Washington.
