FORTE YOU ARE MY HERO!!! Despite the bears sucking and Orton sucking even worse, Forte has somehow found a way to wake up here late in the 4th qaurter. He racked up more yards on 2 carries than he did all game to this point. I needed him to score me 6 points in PPR, thought my championship chances were over when I saw Peterson in there 2 series in a row, but then all of a sudden he comes in gets a 4 yard carry, then a 14 yard catch, suddenly im down by only 2 points. Then the HUGE run to win it for me. The TD is icing on the cake baby. Thanks again to Matt Forte for your gutsy performance, youve saved my season and just helped me win the championship!!! WHO ELSE DID FORTE SAVE, LETS HEAR IT!!

Thanks man, ive been searching for any more updated news, but havent heard of anything recently.

I was up by 21 last night with Forte to go. Opponent had Brandon Jacobs. Woke up this morning fully expecting to have won the championship without having to worry if Forte will play only to find Im down by 6. WOW! As long as Forte plays I think Im ok, my opponent has no more players to go. This is a 1 PPR, 1 pt. per 10 yards rush/rec 6pt TDS. I sure do hope he plays tonight!! $700 bucks riding on his injured toe!

Sorry if this is a re-post, but I havent noticed any threads discussing Matt Forte's status for tonight. Any Chicago homers out there??? Im in a PPR league 1 pt. per reception, 6pt TD's, 1 pt per 10 yards rushing and need 6 points tonight from him to win the championship. Our league has the ridiculous rule that lineups lock 5 minutes prior to first game of each week. I rolled the dice with Forte based on news I had thursday. If it would not have been for Jacobs ridiculous performance last night, I would have won already. I was up by 21 points going into last nights game and came out of it down by 6!!! Can anyone calm my nerves and give me good news?

Mephisto very nice post your words echo my thoughts EXACTLY. But anyways........THE FINAL VERDICT IS IN!!! The League voted against making the change, so Team C has been eliminated from the playoffs. I truly believe that many of the league members voted based on the strength of Team C's team and potential affects it could have on them if in the playoffs. This is a 12 man league. Ill list team C for ya you make your judgement. Team C Cutler, Garcia Addai (Traded W. Parker and Holt early in season after Holts 1 good game and before parker got hurt) Barber (Fargas, Benson, Booker) A. Johnson B. Marshall (V. jackson, H. Ward) T. Gonzo Akers Vikings and Jets Either way guys, Team C was the minority and had a lot of things against him, but again my GUT tells me that at least ALL playoff teams voted no for the above listed reason. I just dont think this should have come to a vote, but of well.

There is a YES/NO vote put up on the league message board. Majority wins, if YES Team C makes it in, if NO Team A makes it in and Team C is effectively screwed. The vote ends tommorrow at 10am. Alls I can say is at least the league is going to have a say in it, either way people are gonna be pissed, but at least the person who made the mistake ISNT making the decision by himself!!!! Tommorrow will be my last post on this subject letting you guys know the final decision! All units stand-by:)LOL

UPDATE FOR THOSE WHO ARE FOLLOWING!! The league has been made aware and right now its about 50-50 most of the points people brought up here are being brought up there. The commish has sent an e-mail to Team A asking him if he would consider giving up his playoff position! Things could get interesting. Sorry for boring the rest of you, just following up for the folks that have helped with advice.

UPDATE Received an e-mail from the commish stating he is leaving it the way it is, no change with no explanation other than he said it was like that all year, so to bad! Pure BS if you ask me, the commish is screwing someone out of the playoffs and alls he says is "to bad"? WTF The e-mails to the commish have been private at this point, I think its time to let the league in on this and see what they have to say. Im affraid though that people dont want Team C in the playoffs as his team is pretty strong so they may vote with that in mind. Either way, its time everyone knows. Again, Ill keep ya posted.

Havent heard anything yet, commish is keeping this one quiet for right now. The responses still remain pretty much 50-50.

Hey everyone thanks for the responses. Its looks to be pretty much half and half. To clarify a few things that ive seen in posts. I believe the change occured preseason when the commish went over to check and make sure scoring was correct (go figure!). I went back and looked and there were no other times when someone started a QB that threw for a 2 pt. conversion except the week in question and actually now this week a guy started Aaron Rodgers. I would assume this is why it was never caught. I am surprised that the team that would benefit from a win didnt catch this, but you surely cant expect Team C to have caught it. When youve been in a league for 7 years, you kinda take for granted that the scoring system is good ESPECIALLY since there has been 0 problems with it the last 7 years. Everyone in this league started the year believing 2pt conversions for QB's would be 2 pt.s There was never a league vote to change the rule, it was changed by pure mistake. I understand peoples views on disputing scores the week they happen, but theres never been that type of rule in this league. My opinion is that the mistake was caught, the 2 pt. conversion score feature should be restored to what it is suppose to be, and scores will retroactively score and things have been made fair. I think it is the right thing to do, Team C wasnt awarded any cheap wins, why should team A? Team A lost fair and square. Like I said, just my opinions I appreciate everyones input! Thanks much. I will keep everyone posted, I should hear something tonight or tommorrow.

Ive personally went back and looked at every game this year, and although it would change a couple scores, none would impact win/loss except for the week in question. The problem is there is no "rule book" per say. If you familiar with CBS sportsline your scoring system shows up under the rules section. The commish to say that since he made the mistake somehow(very fishy) that this became a rule and it will be changed for the start of next year. My thing is...weve had this league for 7 years, WEVE ALWAYS HAD 2 POINT CONVERSIONS FOR QB'S. Any other rule in our league requires voting on by league members to change, so why on earth would this have not required a vote to change it. Ill accept that the commish made the mistake by changing it, but man up and change it back to what the rule was right? Am i that far off? Thanks for the replies, keep em coming.

Brief history on the league. 12 team total pot $1500, free pickups and trades very competitive. 1st takes 65% pot. Our playoffs start in week#14 so this was our last week. There was a close race in the one division to make playoffs. Team A was 7-4-1 Team B was 7-5 and Team C was 6-6 with most total fantasy points. Our tie breaker is team with most fantasy points. Team A played Team B and needed to win in order for Team C who also had to win to make playoffs. Well, Team A lost, and Team C won so it appeared Team C would be eliminated from Playoffs. Well this is where is gets hairy. Team C apparently went back and hand scored (we use CBS sportsline) all of his, Team A and Team B scores looking for any possible errors. Low and behold he found one. The week Team A got his tie, C found that Team A actually should have lost because CBS did not credit rivers with his 2 pt. conversion. When you go back and score it, sure enough he's right. This would give Team A a loss and tie him with C for record and Team C would get in to the playoffs by points. When the commish investigated this he found that somehow at some point he accidentaly??? made QB 2 pt. conversions 0 thus why CBS scored it this way. Despite having 2 pt. passing conversions the past 6 years of league and not vote to change it, the commissh states he will not change it because thats how he had it in the rules because he at some point made a mistake. He acknowledges that he made a error, and knows what is right, but will not change it. My question is, what would the rest of you all do. Please give me honest opinions, im not one to take offense and begin attacking people. Just want everyone to have a fair shot.

Cutler against KC is an excellent matchup (not that i needed to say that) RB Id say go D. Williams whose on fire as of recent and as long as portis is healthy id ride that horse. Jacobs shredded the Ravens so you know it can be done. MJD is a risky start every week as he either gets 30 or 3. WR- I know Wayne has been slow, but against Cincy you cant bench him. Your next choice is where it gets interesting. Berrian is a big play receiver, unfortunately he is high risk because of Minny's ability to run the football. Take his 99 yd bomb away last night, and he his mediocre night. Lance moore has been real good as of late, but Brees does like to spread it around. Id personally go with Walters. Rosenfels loves him and he def. gets the looks down in the red zone. Either Walters or Moore would be fine IMO TE- Keller K- Longwell he boots the long ones and I think Detroit tries to put up fight and maybe stops Minny's sputtering offense in FG range.
