Funny fact about Halloween. The Michael Meyers mask is actually a WIlliam Shatner/Captain Kirk mask turned inside out.

The exorcist and the shining yes. Slasher films to me aren't scary, they're just gory....I don't really get scared watching them

The original TCM is nowhere close to a slasher film,IMO it's horror at its finest.

The internet of course. Where everything I read is true.

I saw on YouTube where Halloween is being remade yet again.

Don't get me wrong. Of the genre, Halloween was by far the best. The backstory is terrifying. I loved Rob Zombie's version of this.

Freddy Krueger and that whole storyline never made any sense to me. And the whole Friday the 13 thing was what it was - a cartoon. But Halloween was pretty badass.

Still, maybe enough with the remakes already?

Nobody beats Rob Zombie when it comes to those kind of movies.

Rob Zombie's Halloween sucked. They made Michael feel like a dirty retard where in the original he seemed more sophisticated. Much better in the original.

Rob Zombie. Where to start??

1. His remake of Halloween was HINO (Halloween in name only). It should've been called Halloween Eve or something stupid since it was essentially a prequel.

It was meh at best.

2. He puts the same shitty actors in 90% of his movies. That's a problem.

3. I have enjoyed a couple of his movies. The Devil's rejects and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes.

4. His wife is nice eye candy, but suuuuucks as an actress. She's in everything he does, so that's a huge obstacle to overcome right away.

5. His stuff is unnecessarily over the top.

Outside of all that, his movies are still better then the Godfather shitt.

ETA. Remakes of classics is extremely tough. The expectations are to much to overcome at times. I did like TCM remake. Mostly because of Jessica Biel running around in that tight white shirt and tight ass pants.

Yea, Halloween, that was focking scary. I watched it for the first and only time just a few years ago, had no idea what I was getting into when I started watching it.

Some people apparently would have voted for the babadook.

I couldn't watch it. Not because it was scary. But about every a hundred and 37 seconds, the little boy was screaming such that my ears would bleed.

I mean, how does that get past dailies? I guess it's one thing to hear a nubile 16 year old cheerleader in one of the scream movies, you know, screaming. But not a petulant little seven-year-old boy.

The Rob zombie version of Halloween is on right now. I freaking love that version.

But then again, Rob Zombie could do no wrong in my book.

Just love that they developed a decent backstory. And I really like Sheri Moon Zombie.

I love old school B type horror movies. To me, the high definition and new technology actually takes away from the scariness of things.

All originals were better to me. Holloween, House of Wax, Valentines day Massacre, Texas Chain Saw, Children of the Corn, Amityville Horror, ect.

That's probably why I have such a great affinity for Rob Zombies House of 1000 Corps and Devils Rejects.

On a side note too. For anyone who did like those movies. He just finished shooting up part 3 of the series. I believe it's a prequel (obviously).

Gonna be released in early 2019

I saw a pre-screening of the Blair Witch Project. Hadn’t heard a thing about it, was just told it was a documentary that was filmed a little south of Baltimore. I thought that shiot was real. The whole theater was hesitant to walk outside after the movie was over.

Yeah. My eyes must have looked like saucers when I saw that. I'll never let my kids see that.

Willow Creek. I haven’t seen it yet.

The Ring is great. Anyone who liked that should check out Ju On: the Grudge, the original Japanese. It has some similarities and it’s really similar.

There was also a Spanish movie called [REC] some years ago that was awesome. The last ten minutes are nightmare fuel.
