Has a movie QB ever been played by a halfway-decent actor?

I don't know what got me thinking about this topic. It seems all QBs in movies are played by terrible actors. Paul Walker in Varsity Blues, Keanu Reeves in The Replacements, yikes.

 

I guess Jamie Foxx in Any Given Sunday is the only decent one I can think of. You would think you'd want a good actor playing the most important part of the movie. Can any of you doofuses think of one?

Good Place isn't anything like Heaven Can Wait, unless there is another version of it. The one on now with Ted Danson & Kristen Bell is absolutely hysterical. Was my favorite new show from last year.

Burt Reynolds in a runaway.... But Keanu Reeves does get honorable mention. Not bcoz he didn't suck in the Replacements, but bcoz he got to make out with Brooke Langton as a cheerleader in it.

There were some decent ones named here, and they may have been good actors, but they weren't all that convincing as football players.

 

I guess Burt was the most believable. He did play college ball.
