Drafting 6th in a keeper league

Recommended Posts

I am picking 6th in a keeper league. 1 pt/10 yds rush or rec. 1/2 pt. per reception. My keeper is cadillac. Between Keepers and picks #1-5 the RB's who will be off the board when I pick are :

LJ

Alexander

LT

Jordan

SJax

Tiki

Ronnie Brown

There don't seem to be any "no-brainer"RB's left...

I'd appreciate any help as to who that leaves me with for a RB...or would I be better off taking a top WR??Thanks...I'll answer yours

Repeating: Portis ain't dead. Rudi can run. Edge will get carries.

It looks as though your league is a little RB friendly, so taking a true #1 of any caliber might be in your best interest. Even someone like Reuben Droughns or Brian Westbrook. Warrick Dunn could also see some good numbers now that he's "the man" in ATL. They're not "no brainer" picks, but that's why we come here right? Go with the "some brainer" picks. There are at least 13 "good" RBs out there, so if a top WR or QB isn't available -- and I mean TOP -- stick with your RBs.

Thanks for the help...Portis aint dead, but it definitely isn't fun sweating out an injury to your # 1 pick before the season even begins

Understood. I had Portis at the top of my board until the injury. I just wasnt sure if I was faced with a top 3 pick if I had the cajoles to take him over the Big3. NOW...I'd probably take Rudi out of the 3 listed earlier. Someone ~might~ get a steal with Portis, because the lowest I've seen him drop is 9 out of 12.
