Alex Collins Breakout Game Week 4

Recommended Posts

Nothing fancy, about 100 yards plus and a TD.

Only 6% own in yahoo, pick him up if you have a spot.

Reason is simple. Ravens has been desperate looking for a starting back. They are giving anyone with promise a chance.

Caveat: as long as Collins doesn't fumble, then all bets are off.

After what the Bears did to the Steelers defense last week in the rushing game, this isn't a bad recommendation. I've had Collins on my watch list. I may pull a Sunday morning maneuver and drop some fluff just to stash him.

Steelers may have 2 starters back on dline this week. So maybe just good game instead of greT if they were out

Been talking up his NFL potential since before he was drafted and have now been patiently waiting over a year on him.

Have him owned in all 4 leagues. Believe me, I am more than ready for a breakout....

He's 3rd string. I don't see that changing.

No doubt he is 3rd string. Except to the fact that Allen and West show they are no better than 3rd strings backup either.

Similar to Seattle, Baltimore has no draft capitals tie to Allen and West. There is no reason why they wouldn't use Collins as starter.

I am tempted to roll him out over Amendola, Kupp and D.Henry in my flex.... I need upside playing a better team

Slow down there. Amendola still a better play.

We all are looking for the next big thing, and we know we have to pick him BEFORE he goes off, otherwise our chances of getting him are slim.

So, can Collins be that guy? Yes for two,reasons- Ravens RBs have not wowed anyone consistently and Collins has the coaches talking him up. Is this coach speak to fire up,the incumbents? Maybe so.

My recommendation- if you need RB help, and have a guy who is taking up space not getting you anything and might not get you anything (back up TE, defense, or even QB) be bold here at least for one week. Chances are your backup will still be around come Wednesday morning.

If you owned west and Allen would you drop one for Collins?

Yes

I think Allen as put performed West.

So I would drop West for him.

It's a tough situation.

I don't think the Ravens are a good enough team to give enough work to trust starting any of them.

Atleast I don't think so.

I see a three way RBBC with the hot hand getting the majority of the att.

Would you drop Evan Engram for him

My other ends are Jimmy Graham and Clay

You don't need 3 TE that's for sure if you can only play 1. But Clay or Evan is hard to decide.

I do t think I've ever seen a ff team with three TE's.

I would drop one for him.

I would let Clay go.

Three reasons to find room on your roster for Collins.......

1} Ravens are a run oriented team, even if a key back goes down they will rely heavy on the replacement back, they lack a decent NFL or above average passing attack...

2} Collins is exactly what the Ravens expect in a RB. ..Good size with power and enough speed to grind out tough yards & ability as a receiver...{Runs very similar to Lynch}.........

3} No question he is their most talented back { view his 2-games} he has a better burst thru the line than either West or Allen...last game Allen and Collins both had carries in the 4th quarter, Collins blew thru tacklers for yardage, while Allen had trouble passing the line of scrimmage....

I'm convinced Alex Collins will be the Ravens starting back within the next 2-3 weeks, and he will be a very productive runner.....find room on your roster now, before its too late.....

I think most have a roster spot with less upside if he is sitting on waivers.

Drop Donta Foreman for him?

No. I like Collins but he is still going to be part of a RBBC no matter what. Foreman is a player that changes your league if/when Miller misses time.

I pulled the trigger and if he goes off.. I'll use him as trade bait and sell high.

Dropped Taylor Gabriel for him.

I grabbed him earlier this week while everyone was busy bidding on Smallwood. Hoping this report holds true. The again wasn't Buck Allen supposed to start last week and West actually did? We'll see...

Absolutely killing him. Not sure he gets another chance...

What a waste!

I hate it when coaches yank a guy so quick. Fumbles happen.. the Ravens need to feed this guy and give home confidence.

I think their is a rule that states only QBs can turn the ball over, even in bunches and still keep their job. Unless of course you can convince the coaching staff you're related to Adrian Peterson, in which case you're allowed 3-9 fumbles a year.

Fumbles do happen but Collins has a really high percentage of carry to fumble.
