fanfootballtn 33 Posted November 6, 2017 When will it stop Mike? You've locked a few threads but that doesn't stop people from making offensive comments. It's time for you to make decisions like Roger Goodell and suspend some people from the board. *Side note I've noticed if you are a rookie on the board and ask for help, your thread is sent to the help section. If you've are a "geek," you can do whatever you want.
Oriole8159 86 Posted November 6, 2017 2 fights in the past week started because QBs running and sliding too late. QBs need to stop sliding entirely in my opinion. It actually leaves them more exposed and at larger risk for head injury because they essentially leave their head exposed right in the area that the defending player is hitting into. They're much safer to slide forward and take the hit on their side, or just slide well short of any defender. But when they don't and get hit hard because they want to get all the extra yards they can, it immediately leads to a huge fight because players want to protect their guy. QBs are either runners or they're not, and they need to start realizing that if they run and try that ultra late slide, that they're at more risk actually and that he's putting his teammates at risk for ejection because of the aftermath. joeshushu 51 Posted November 6, 2017 Put flags on the QBs and dress them in red like at practice. If you pull the flag your down.
bandrus1 413 Posted November 6, 2017 I think it is a good thing, Both the NFL and NBA are a little too much like a millionaire country club these days. Nice to see a little blood boiling

Mark91G 13 Posted November 6, 2017 its a contact sport and there will always be an aspect of anger. I don't have a big problem with a bit bench clearing every few weeks but I do have a problem when it comes in the form of evans this week, what a pathetic cowardly hit, your QB comes on to the field to mock a guy who in turn shoves him and you hit a guy in the back at full speed in the neck, ( ###### move ) those type of fights should be an instant suspension and fine. now the "fights" that come after a late QB hits that lead to guys protecting each other putting a marker down and going face to face I have no issue adds a little to the game everyone has a chip on there shoulders for the game and the return game. I guess I don't mind per se either on the fights that result from QBs getting hit, but I just don't like the way QBs abuse the system and then try to cry foul after. QBs need to learn how to properly take a hit if they're going to be aggressive like this, or just take the knee when there's nobody around regardless of where they are from a yardage standpoint. huskyhater75 242 Posted November 6, 2017 The fights, the shootings, we never had this much of this kind of stuff going on before Trump got into office and just with his attitude alone has PO'ed the nation as a whole, I blame him.

You let these guys run a muck this is what it means to not let the inmates run the asylum At least you got the idiom right Pro sports in most sports is like that, and I don't think you need to blame drugs (most peds these days don't come with rage issues). The top level of a sport has self selected for the most competitive people in that sport. People who are fired up the most about what they do, and are willing to go to great lengths to perform and win. You see the same kind of decisions in exec boardrooms, it's just that the blindside hits are in the form of stock trades and such.

Manifesto 2 Posted November 7, 2017 Its a weird season, so unpredictable. Performances are so uneven. This coupled with the ongoing infighting between owners and players, and the public as well. Maybe its creating a hostile workplace.

Unless you're saying it sucks to be me because I don't like insider trading. That's true, the existence of illegal activity on Wall Street does bother me somewhat. If immorality and illegal activity doesn't bother you, well...that's one way to live your life, I guess.

When everyone thought Hillary was going to be president, jobs started shifting things to other countries and the stock market dropped. It took a bit of time after trump got elected to bring the money and focus back to MY country doing a 180, but now I get to enjoy and reap. In short I have no complaints except a few republicans that are democrats which means they do nothing.

In short I have no complaints except a few republicans that are democrats which means they do nothing. That's fine, man. I'm honestly glad you are seeing things going well. My point above was simply one about corruption (well, it was really just about how people being aggressive and competitive leads to that stuff, but I will go ahead and say I don't like it). Regardless of how the market is doing, I don't like corruption. I don't like insider trading, I don't like corporate inversions, I don't like a ton of stuff coming out of the Paradise Papers. And I have trouble seeing how anyone could like it. (In fact, I'm betting given what you just said that you agree with me about not liking these companies hiding their money offshore and 'moving' their headquarters to other countries. Shady stuff.) That's all I was saying. If we can get the market doing well and keep trying to limit the sub-prime scandals and the robo-accounts and the other corruption, great. Well like I said if all the republicans would get on board Trump can get the money from offshore accounts back with his tax plan. Its well known there is no way democrats will until they realize they are becoming irrelevant. The latest elections outcomes were obvious with only Virginia in a bit of doubt, but in the end its close to Washington. You right to believe as you wish, its a free country, but a lot of Democrats switched parties.

That's fine, I'm not wanting to get into a politics debate (some of my other comments sometimes to the contrary ) But it's always good when people can agree on things. For the record though--I'm still not a Democrat I gotta get to work, have a good one.
