anyone ever seen a hawk moth

It looks like a mini hummingbird and goes for the same flowers that hummingbirds go for. Its a crazy little creature. I will have some pics in a little while.

Maybe you saw a hummingbird.

It let me get inches away from it and take pics. Its not a hummingbird.

I know the critter you're talking about but had no idea wth it was when I saw it. I thought it was a hummingbird at first also but it's an insect of some sort. They'll let you get right up close and they don't seam like can hurt you but man are they odd.

 

Only took 10 years to learn what it was called. Nobody I discribed it to knew what the hell I was talking about.

This is the one I saw. It's about 2 inches long and moves just like a hummingbird.

what about "its not a hummingbird" do you not understand. I watched the thing unfurl its little snoutthing and drink from a flower. I was 3-4 inches away from it. Its about 4 inches long with orange and brown.

That is EXACTLY what this one is. Except it is brown and orange.

I have seen them in my yard.....they do act like a humming bird.

i found a dead hummingbird on the sidewalk the other day.

 

it made me sad.

 

and i saw a dead kitty cat yesterday and that made me sad too.

its true I was smoking pot. However Im always smoking pot so nothings new. It was not a hummingbird.
