Hunt looks legit

Recommended Posts

it's like I'm watching J.Charles 2.0. Quick, elusive, one-cut runner....6.0 ypc as of the time I'm typing this.

Whereas I think Gillislee is a sell (very) high after week 1, Hunt is a buy high.

I love my early draft. I got him the morning after Ware's injury and no one knew how serious it was. I got him in the 10th round! Very happy. Then, I would have sat him on the road for Ajayi, but that game was postponed so I HAD to start him. Feeling really lucky.

Funny how people make fun of others who draft a few weeks early. They forget that there are chances off getting really cheap studs just like there are chances of losing a top draft pick.

I was able to get Hunt in the 14th round.

Slow down people. Great game for Hunt...no doubt. He will be game planned now.

Are you a sell high kinda guy?

Just like Zeke last year. 😉

Agreed he will be planned for but this guy looked liked the total package lastnight. And its hard to gameplan for an offensive line that looks dominant. Could be a result of a bad Patriots front but the blocking looked terrific and the kid was making tacklers pay.

The Patriots didn't game plan for KC starting Rb?

No wonder they had their butts kicked.

Now that's really bad coaching.

Bro slipped through the Dline line butter. He was in the secondary on nearly every run. Crazy elusive. That play when he broke outside and beat everyone to the edge and burned it up field was sick. He's got all the weapons. Hands too. Dude can catch. 3 down back.

Dam I wish I did my homework on this kid.

Where have you been, if you had been spending more time in here the great fftoday you would have been ready.

I watched a lot of tape of players this year to try to get a better idea of what their skill level was really like. I watched a bit of college game tape, but mostly preseason tape on running backs. The ones that I really liked what I saw were: Hunt, McCaffrey, Kamara and Carson. The others looked sort of average (Mixon, Cook, J Williams, Perine).

In my main league I own Hunt and Carson.

Why not draft after the SuperBowl? Wouldn't that be fun.?.

Adding more dumb luck to fantasy football is stupid.

There's dumb luck at all times of the year. There are obvious times of the year when it makes more sense to draft but when it's getting to the point where it's the busiest time of the year for some it gets hard to draft a few days before the season starts.

You guys are high. He looked good, yes, but these comparisons to Jamaal Charles, acting like Hunt is some blazing fast running back

Hunt 4.62 40

Rice 4.47 40

I think he looked good, the big bonus being his hands. Let's just not forget all the big runs that Jeremy Hill had that one year despite him being a slower back.

I didn't think he looked blazing fast either but that is rarely a defining trait for a quality RB in the NFL. I can live with a back being caught from behind if he is reading blocks, gaining yards after contact, and catching the ball. He showed all of those things lastnight. Hes definitely not Jamaal Charles. The only similarity is the uniform IMO.

This was supposed to be Ware :(

This was never going to be Ware...he just doesn't have the talent to produce like this. I don't know that you meant your comment that way, but it is what it is.

People are off on Ware. Last year was a tale of two seasons. Before and after the concussion. Before he got hurt he was trending towards 1500+ total yards. He is a good player. Moot point now as he just got Bledsoe'ed

Yeah, he's not a burner, but he is shifty and has awesome burst when he makes his cuts. He has some power to, but I'd not call him a power back. I see why Reid likes him and will use him as the feature back. Also, he did show good hands with some nice catches.

Oh yeah, he's legit. I know it's one game but I'd bet everything based on this one showing that he'll carry the Chief's to Super Bowl for sure.

He's so good, I heard the NFL is changing the name of the Lombardi trophy to the Khunt trophy.

The speed isn't a knock. I'm just miffed by the people comparing him to a blazing fast player like Charles, or saying he is faster than Rice, when he clearly isnt.
