Bobby Rainey time

Recommended Posts

Per rotoworld

Doug Martin (ankle) remained sidelined at Bucs practice Thursday, but has shed his walking boot.

The fact that Martin has shed his boot offers a glimmer of hope for his Week 9 status, but most signs point toward him sitting out against the Browns. Reporter Greg Auman believes Bobby Rainey will lead the Bucs in touches in Martin's potential absence, but that rookie Charles Sims could earn a much bigger role going forward if he performs well. We'd consider Rainey a borderline RB2, and Sims a wait-and-see RB3. Oct 30 - 2:08 PM

Do you trust rainey will get enough touches? I think this sims kid is another devonta freeman, overrated as hell, but touches are king in the land of rbs (except for antone of couse). I could see lovie forcing sims into action. It would be nice to get at least 1 more big performance from rainey during bye week hell.

it's all up to sims, if he does well with his touches then i'll do well with mine

the more touches we get, the better we'll feel

Sadly I'm carrying both Rainey and Sims. I'll start Rainey this week since Jennings is still out but I'll wait and see who emerges in the Tampa backfield and drop one of them.

Against a piss-poor Cleveland run defense? Yeah...I think it matters.

Not sure why so many people hate on rainey just because hes not an all pro. Guarantee if Sims is active he splits secondary reps with Mike James . Rainey is going to be solid this week based on volume alone. There is no debate that Sims is the better long term add, no one needs to waste time talking about that anymore. The browns have given up 9 th most pts to RBs and the last 3 games they have played ten, jax, oak. That says a lot.

Rainey should be good for 20 touches this week. He had 14 last week. Hes a solid RB2 this week

Sims is the newest flavor here to lick; we don't want any of that old Rainey flavor.

He takes the job today and will be a key player the rest of the way for many fantasy championship teams.

Mark it.

That would be awesome. Made some key desperation trades to attempt digging myself out of a 2-6 hole. Going to need to win out and rainey being the feature back would go a long way in helping my cause.

Doug Martin (ankle) is inactive for Week 9.

With Charles Sims also in street clothes today, Bobby Rainey should pile up touches against Cleveland. Martin is safe to drop in 10- and 12-team leagues. Look for Sims to rotate with Rainey in Week 10 against the Falcons.

Not sure how week 10 already comes into play. If Martin is healthy enough to go next week wouldn't he also be in the mix for carries?
