Rivers has been my boy this season, but I am nervous as he11 about his matchup after watching the Rams torch through the SD offensive line last week. I am rolling with Orton vs Oakland. Who you got?

I don't own Rivers but my 2 cents.

 

If you have a viable option like Orton fine.

 

I wouldn't bench Rivers for a Cassel/Freeman situation though.

why bench him, its not like NE has a vaunted pass rush. I expect NE to get a decent lead and SD to have to continue to pass the ball like always. Crayton and Sproles will both have over 100 yards rec, Gates might play if not McMichael and Wilson can still do a little.

True. This original poster isn't as brave/dumb as you might think at first. Orton has been just as productive as Rivers.

 

I gave it a lot of thought of benching Kolb for Cassel because of the favorable match up with Cassel (JAX) but I couldn't pull the trigger. Kolb is just a much better QB, match up aside.
