I'm bumping this thread because I was reading about this Democrat sensation in Texas, Beto O'Rourke. His parents named him "Robert' and he is fully Irish white with no Hispanic mixed in, but yet he goes by "Beto" a nickname from kindergarten (according to Wikipedia,)
