scottsind 61 Posted October 18, 2017 Standard league, start 2 Rb's with potential to flex a 3rd. Record is 1-5, even with the horrible record I am only 2 games out from the playoffs. Running Back Crew: C.J. Anderson, Doug Martin, DeMarco Murray, Adrian Peterson, Morris & McFadden, Rob Kelley (this is also the order I value these players) I have Adrian Peterson and have some trade offers coming my way for him. We can trade draft picks for next year so that is what is on the table. 12 team / 2 man Keeper league so when the draft starts there are already 24 players off the board. A trade came my way trading a 6th round for a 13th round pick. Should I entertain this idea? Counter with a better deal? Or stay PAT? Oriole8159 86 Posted October 18, 2017 I'd love to help you bro as you're a good poster, but I've never done a league where you can trade future draft picks. Wouldn't even know where to start. Didn't want you just sitting here though.
weepaws 2,452 Posted October 18, 2017 Same boat as above. I'm not in any keeper leagues so I wouldn't want to give you any bad advice.
bobjay00 22 Posted October 18, 2017 Are you talking about trading AP for draft pick(s)?? If so, get a higher one. Never heard of trading draft picks during season we only allow it on draft day.
scottsind 61 Posted October 19, 2017 Last year I traded my first round pick of this season for Odell Beckham Jr so that I could obtain a better keeper. That was an example of a mid season trade. It is pretty interesting as teams can trade draft picks for players so that they can bolster their line up for a championship run. On the other end of the spectrum teams can acquire in a down year, bumps in draft picks for the future of next years draft. I guess this isn't a normal thing so I will kill this question. Thank you! Let me know your thoughts and leave a link I think it really depends on the rest of your team. It is looking like you may not be a playoff team. If you think you can turn it around, then this trade is not for you. If you think you can make the playoffs, any player who has the potential to become the starter stays on your roster unless you get something to help you now. If you think the year is a writeoff anyways then its not a bad idea to make a deal. That being said, if you are keeping 2 a 6th round pick gets you a fringe starter or top quality backup. Do you think that is what ADP is? He put up starting quality numbers last week and he doesnt even fully know the playbook. I am not opposed to this type of deal, but you should squeeze him for more if you are gonna write off the season to help his team out today.
scottsind 61 Posted October 19, 2017 I countered with a 4th round pick. He is really going to have want him.
Viking14 5 Posted October 20, 2017 I would wait until after the next week or two - AD needs a lot of trys to be considered a RB1. He hit last week another week or two like that and I would think someone would give you a higher pick.. After the next couple of weeks you are getting close to DJ coming back and value will go down every week, unless AZ shelves him because there is no playoff possibility. scottsind 61 Posted October 20, 2017 Truth. His next two match ups are very appetizing with a bye week in between to keep that motor running. I agree that after 3 more weeks he could have more value if David Johnson is shelved for the year.
Byrdman5 104 Posted October 20, 2017 I countered with a 4th round pick. He is really going to have want him. i think a 4th round pick is a legit counter. I view AP as a RB2 with RB1 upside some weeks.I view pick value like this 1st rounder top 6 RB/WR 2nd rounder 7-12 ranked RB/WR 3rd 13-18 ranked RB/WR 4th 19-24 rank RB/WR
