two first round picks

Recommended Posts

Second year of a 12 team 2-man keeper.

Standard scoring, 6 pts for all TD's, bonuses for extra yardage, no PPR

start: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF

I made a trade last year for a first round pick. We just got our draft placement list: I am picking at 6 (my pick) and 8 (traded pick) first round.

The following are a list of who I think will be kept. Keep in mind that some teams have NO legitimate keeper, while others have more than one. Barring any trades for draft picks this is how I see the keepers going, in no order (in parenthesis are other possible keepers), some of these are pretty bad

1st Pick: Edge, CJ (Cumar, Michael Pittman)

2nd Pick: Lamont, JLew ( Cedric Benson, CPepp)

3rd Pick: Deshaun Foster, Harrison (Ahman Green or Shockey)

4th pick: Chambers, RMoss (Chris Brown or Dillon)

5th pick: Rudi, Clinton (Steve Smith Warrick Dunn)

6th pick (mine): McGahee, Julius (Chester, Palmer)

7th pick: Fitzgerald, Droughns (Willie Parker or D-Mac)

8th pick(mine also): LJ, Caddy (possibly DDavis or Holt)

9th pick: LT, Gates (TJones or Hines Ward)

10th pick: SA, SJax (TO or Dominic Rhodes)

11th pick: WestBrook, Reggie Wayne (possibly Priest or Mike Anderson)

12th pick: Tiki, Ronnie (P Manning, Boldin)

Figure the top RB's that will still be out there:

DDavis, KJones, Tatum, Willie Parker, Warrick Dunn, Chester Taylor, TJones, Dillon, Bush, Duece

Top Wr's still available:

TO, Steve Smith, Holt, Boldin, Plax, DJax, Driver, AJohnson, Roy Williams, Javon Walker, Joe Horn.

I am guessing first guy has to go RB, second WR, third RB, fourth RB, fifth WR, 7th RB.

That leaves me with one of SS, TO, Holt with my first pick and either Boldin or Chester with my second.

What do yall think Should I go WR, WR? Stack up on RB's? I sort of like the Holt, Chester possibility.

I'll answer yours.

Pardon me for being a bit dense. Does #6 mean that you have McGahee & Julius & you are keeping them plus #8 means you have L.J. & Caddy to keep?

sorry, no. I am picking from the 6 spot. I am keeping McGahee and Julius. Through a trade I have the 8th pick as well.

The guy whose pick that is is keeping LJ and Caddy. I just wanted to show who is picking when and what their keepers prolly are.

If TO or S Smith is still there...then there's your pick. If they are not take Boldin and then D Davis (he won't be there). Good luck

You need to try to fit another RB in there. If you can grab DD, Chester, Dunn, or KJones in that order. Then I would go TO, Holt, or Smith depending on who's left. In my money keeper league I can keep up to 3 and they will all be RB's. You can always find WR value late. By the way, how do you leave a link. You left yours on mine. Repost over on mine if you could. I have the rate my team post, biglou. Thanks.

I personally would take SS and go with TO, Holt or Boldin with your 8th overall pick. Based on the fact that you can probably get another speculative runningback in the second that is not a huge upgrade over anyone you could get in the first round. Also, I would rather have two of SS, TO, Holt or Boldin over possibly who might be left in the second.

I'm sure that you already know this, but handicapping Jones with MBIII is a must.

Good luck man.

Take Steve and T.O

If both of those guys dropped I would take them in a second. I just think only 1 of the 3 listed above will make it to me at 6. No way one falls to me at 8. I guess the reality is that I should take a RB with my #8 pick.

other thoughts?

no way u ll get SSmith at #6.

u'll hopefully get yuor stab at T.O/Boldin/Holt.

Can you play a Slot WR/RB or only 2 RBs and 2 WRs

if that s the case u ll wanna take a RB/WR with 6/8 depending on how the RBs shake out

see mine please

Your draft could shake out in many different ways. I would say use the Best Player Available method and take the best available at the time
