Brutal Brutus 182 Posted December 12, 2017 Not really. He's probably just depth for the NFL playoffs. Hogan's been hurt, can't really trust Amendola to stay healthy, and they don't want to bring in a free agent if those things happen. Similar to signing Flyod last year. It may be a two year contract but I don't see any way I trust starting him this year

If Hogan gets hurt again, they need a warm body who at least looks threatening to run around on the field so the D won't triple-team Cooks.

bobjay00 22 Posted December 13, 2017 I think Britt fits NE. Here is why...during the game the announcers made a good point about NEs lack of a red zone target with size, esp with Gronk out. That is why the 6"3" Britt fits. HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Do they really think they need size?
Maulers1973 117 Posted December 13, 2017 This is just Bill B trying to show the league that he's far smarter than everyone. Britt is a complete turd. The bigger turd is Sashi Brown for signing him to that lucrative contract!!
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted December 13, 2017 Technically not accurate. He cleared waivers and then they signed him. All this really means is Malcolm Mitchell aint coming back
kilroy69 994 Posted December 13, 2017 He gets cut after his first game in which he loafs.

All this really means is Malcolm Mitchell aint coming back This ^ Please note that Britt is a Rutgers guy. McCourty has already stated that he will be taking Britt under his wing to show him how things get done in New England as they have a history from Rutgers days. I don't think that Britt will do much this year, but they are looking at him as a wildcard and possibly see if he can do something next year with an offseason under his belt. He still has talent, but the question is whether he will be able to grasp the system.
