Geek Club ill informed as always https://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2012/07/27/157474910/do-you-really-know-what-live-is Back in 2012 the e street bands mixer said they were about the only live music left. You think that’s gotten better in the intervening 12 years? I love live concerts, but if it’s a big venue you have to accept that it’s likely somewhere between 50-99% prerecorded. The stakes and expectations are simply too high

Hardly anyone actually plays in concerts. It’s all piped in You think T Swift is really up there riffing on her guitar?

Wrong as always, my friend: Beastie Boys[a] were an American hip hop/rap rock[2] group from New York City, formed in 1981.[3]The group was composed of Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz (vocals, guitar), Adam "MCA" Yauch(vocals, bass), and Michael "Mike D" Diamond(vocals, drums, programming). Beastie Boys were formed out of members of experimental hardcore punk band The Young Aborigines, which was formed in 1979, with Diamond on drums, Jeremy Shatan on bass guitar, John Berry on guitar, and Kate Schellenbach later joining on percussion.[4]When Shatan left New York City in the summer of 1981, Yauch replaced him on bass and the resulting band was named Beastie Boys. Berry left shortly thereafter and was replaced by Horovitz.

False. A “boy band” is one where the boys are selected and put together by a producer, who basically controls everything about the band. Also their music is written by other people who are simply trying to appeal to the greatest number of people. In other words, there is nothing real or organic about them

You gonna blame TWA and PanAm on them too? -
Trump's Historic Criminal Trial (David Pecker's testimony continues)
IGotWorms replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
That’s a stupid argument. Donald Trump is known all over the country so there’s no reason to change the venue on that basis. It will be just as hard to find twelve jurors who’ve never heard of him in Nashville as it would be in New York. Bottom line you don’t like that NY is blue, and like sqisition said, that is not, and never has been, a basis for changing venue. -

Same here but I’d put my range more at eight hours or so. Wish I had time for more driving, will definitely want to do that in retirement -

Is he gonna dog it now? Help me out here, weren’t there concerns about his character coming out of college? Am I misremembering that? Dude is a beast and obviously pretty smart (apparently he speaks several languages). But it’s always dicey after these WRs get paid

Yep. I hate airlines too (well most of em) and part of me cheers this on. But if they’re getting half a billion dollars out of this, they’ll recover that money somewhere else, and most likely it’ll be via higher fares. -

I doubt they’ll go after Trump since the fake elector scheme is the cornerstone of the federal indictment against him (the election interference one), and he will be held to account there. Technically the state charges may be different and it might possibly not constitute double jeopardy, but I don’t think they’ll go down that road. -

Good. You go along with an illegal scheme, that’s on you. Of course, the ringleader should suffer consequences as well.
