stonewall 647 Posted October 20, 2014 Obviously, it will take awhile to get up to speed with a whole new system. However, does he come out and prove a point?
track 1 16 Posted October 20, 2014 i wouldn't start him 5th week as a jet. real talk
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 20, 2014 Id say no, hes not a great wr and geno isnt a great qb.
Cuse9 128 Posted October 20, 2014 Depends. If you are in a deep league he's a decent WR3 option over what else you would start. Heck even in a twelve teamer, he may be a decent option if you have been hit with injuries and bye week players this week. If you get kick return points he's a good option as well. Obviously he's lost his WR1 or 2 value, but with his home run potential he's still a viable option as a third starter.
TD Ryan2 314 Posted October 20, 2014 To me, the only promising thing about Harvin is that the Jets are so bad, they already rely on gimmicky stuff. They have nothing to lose and don't care if they take the ball out of Geno's hands.
murf74 461 Posted October 20, 2014 I probably don't have a place in my lineup for him this soon (someone cut him right before trade and I grabbed him). But I bet he becomes a great flex option for me once my byes start kicking in. I think he has huge upside. Jets have a good run game and decker as a wr to keep defenses honest. He will be used as a wr not a slash gimmick. I don't get the hate for him as he was horribly mis used in Seattle. 4 passes all season to him beyond 10 yards from scrimmage. That is negligence. huskyhater75 242 Posted October 20, 2014 And being neglected like that made him......hmm............'fighting mad'?
NEWPOSTERGUY! 266 Posted October 21, 2014 Id say no, hes not a great wr and geno isnt a great qb. neither is Ponder, and psycho was in the convo for mvp in the first half of the 2012 season (before injury) the NY football Jets will use him early and often. oh, the wheels will eventually come flying off, but the honeymoon period will be fantasy relevant.

My thoughts, as well.....including the fact that he has thrived with bad QB's before. I AM OLDPOSTERGUY!!111!11!!

I think with his run after catch ability he will be dangerous on slants etc. Seattle just chose to throw to him while he was standing still and behind a crowded line of scrimmage I repeat 4 passes throw. To him all year beyond 10 yards. That's horrible mis use
