Australia does it right - again

I was half dozing/listening to NPR this morning. They were interviewing some Aussie Politician.

Apparently, some Aussie actress shoved a note in his hand basically saying:

"Why is it if you declare bankruptcy, you can't leave AUS for 7 years, but

if you are a convicted secks offender, you can leave anytime you want?"

 

Politician was sure that couldn't be true, but he checked it out. It was.

 

Especially in that part of the world, they're MUCH closer to the Paedo playgrounds of SE Asia.

So, they changed the law. Just saw the headline.

 

Good on ya, mate!

 

Meanwhile, we can't unfock ourselves long enough to get rid of the penny.
