bmeadows 4 Posted September 22, 2018 Is it safe to drop him now? I have Connor but scared that he may somehow be traded and lose out on the possibilities. If he does come back his team wont want him or play him minimally. I know there are multiple threads on him but want to know if I should just cut bait and pickup someone that can help instead of just wasting a bench spot. scottsind 61 Posted September 22, 2018 I dont see how you drop Bell. No way the worst person on your roster has the upside Bell does.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted September 22, 2018 IMO, you simply cannot. If you keep him and he never shows all you did was waste a pick/roster spot. If you drop him and he shows and becomes Le'Veon Bell again, you may have handed potentially the best player in the league for part of the season and a championship to another team to gain a roster spot used on an RB4 or WR5 or some crap.
DaBeerz 88 Posted September 22, 2018 Redraft league maybe. Keeper League no way.
bmeadows 4 Posted September 22, 2018 Thank you all for your comments. Hold for now.
cbfalcon 824 Posted September 22, 2018 Guy in our league dropped him, someone else picked him up, then that guy dropped him....Then he was passed over this week. So people arent dropping him?
Gepetto 966 Posted September 22, 2018 Why would anyone drop him? He has to play 6 games this year to reach free agency otherwise he can only play for the Steelers again in 2019. He will be back on the roster by week 10 or 11 or earlier if he ends his stupid hold out.
weepaws 2,418 Posted September 22, 2018 Trade. Someone will want him. I mean even though it was easy to see how bad the Zona offence was going to be this season, some still had him ranked as the very first draft pick. Someone will want him. Work out a deal. Try the Conner owner.
phillygrrl08 139 Posted September 22, 2018 As a Conner owner, Bell's value to me is a player like Kerryon. The best offer he got was the Saturday of week one. Now Bell has little to no value to me and he can either keep him and waste a roster spot, release him, or find someone else willing to trade for him.

jackjohn 31 Posted September 22, 2018 So he must be back by week 10/11? I see a timeshare at RB if thats the case. I dont think Tomlin has ever had rbbc. He always seems to run 1 guy the whole game. If Bell comes back and is ready to go, I think he will be back to the workhorse he was.
jrokh 567 Posted September 22, 2018 I don't see Bell just waltzing in after like 9 months of not playing football and picking up right where he left off. It doesn't work that way. If he shows up week 10 he might not be ready for a full workload till week 13 or so.
Skinny_Bastard 154 Posted September 22, 2018 Drop him. Its already week 3.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted September 22, 2018 I'd throw out some offers. You should be able to find someone that will take the upside. There is a player out there on a roster that would be moved for Lev that is better than the best player on waivers.
Phil Simms 11 127 Posted September 22, 2018 Either way I would hold him unless your benches are really thin. Talking WR5/RB5 Bell will get a game or 2 to shake off the rust and would be in your flex for playoffs.
weepaws 2,418 Posted September 22, 2018 Someone will give up someone for him. No question.
clean90 6 Posted September 22, 2018 I am in 2 redraft leagues. I own Bell in 1 and Conner in both. I am holding onto Bell and the Bell owner in my other redraft league is holding so far as well. Dropping Bell has never even crossed my mind and I don't expect him to report until week 10.
LaChup 154 Posted September 22, 2018 I would drop him, then quickly pick him back up......like I did with Josh Gordon.
oldtimer 84 Posted September 22, 2018 If you have him now, don't trade him. Wait until he blows up for a game, then ship him off if you still don't like him. Right now, you are going to get 1/3 of his true value. By the time he returns, it may be past the trading deadline of most leagues. If that's the case, trade him in the offseason. I just can't see trading someone of his talent for almost nothing. When I traded him, his value was lower than it typically is, and I still got Ridley, Ebron and two first round picks in the dynasty rookie draft. If you ca't come away with something similar, hold him. Nobody ever wants to just hold a player.... lol With what you will get for him later, you could restock 1/4 of your roster. Einstein's Dog 20 Posted September 23, 2018 As A Conner owner, I want L Bell. Owning the Pitt RB is huge. If I had both I would not drop him. I had offered either M Lynch or P Barber for L Bell early on. Got no response. This is a redraft league. I think the odds on thought is he comes back week 10. Probably a week in doubt of what to do, and then LBell is probably a top 3 RB the rest of the season. If that were to happen I want L Bell. And I want to cover my little thought that L Bell will actually show earlier. If P Barber does decently I may have to float that offer back out.
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,524 Posted September 23, 2018 hell I offered Lindsay, MWilliams and R.Wilson for him and was turned down
Byrdman5 104 Posted September 23, 2018 This is another reason why all leagues need IR spots. I would not drop Bell, As a conner owner Bell has value.

TonyB1972 1 Posted September 23, 2018 The Conner and Bell owners in my leagues have been working out trades, or keeping him. No one has just dropped him.
