Never said I was a "Cold War hero", just mentioned the time period that I sacrificed for & served my country. I'm a long. long time lurker. Up until now, I really never had any reason to post; all the fantasy football advice and information I've read here has helped me win several championships over the decades (Thank you gentlemen!) But, when I read a post equating players kneeling to being disrespectful to "all"military - as a highly-decorated military veteran, I rightfully/respectfully disagree. That is all ...see no name-calling

Cold War - the time in world history where the United States and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (U.S.S.R.) were at the brink of bringing nuclear war on the world. I did receive many medals during my tour, one in particular, is the Berlin Army of Occupation medal. I received it during my first tour in 1982 as a Russian linguist. Our mission - prevent world domination by the Russians (has always been their mission & will continue to be) ...so, yeah, besides starting this racially diving debate on patriotism, I might be biased against Trump who gave the Russians an "escorted" tour into the White House. Also, if you have never dealt with the VA for medical service, please don't tell me how Trump is "trying to clean it up" ...the bureaucratic non-sense has gotten progressively worse and extremely impersonal since his administration ...as stated above, upcoming military parade = wasted tax payer's $$$

In sports, during a player injury, mostly all players will take a knee. Kaepernick wasn't taking a knee to be disrespectful to flag or anthem, he just wanted to call needed attention to the fact that innocent African-American (mostly men) lives had (and continue be) taken by the people sworn to protect and serve ALL; not those who happen to look like them. Do people continue to miss the point (injustice) because of racism? "I'm with you. I hate that these guys are able to bring this into the entertainment industry." ...let's face it, Trump has made overt racism chic again I am a 20-year USAF Cold War veteran, not all service members are offended, we served to protect our freedoms, which can be used illustrate the injustices in our once envious democratic society You want to post about what really offends service members, Trump demanding & getting a military parade after twice avoiding his opportunity to serve

Resist the temptation to change your roster, 1 hour before game time.
