I think he starts, but will have a very short leash. Q is pretty loyal, but many times a playoff series is won by a goalie on a hot streak.

Wings win despite being outshot 3:1. I guess you take 'em how you get 'em but that's not so encouraging. I've a long memory, I remember them losing series that they outshot the opponent 3:1. Game one was like the Cevaldae and Essenza years in reverse.

Hockey just isn't very popular in Texas, certainly not a Spring time event anyone gets up for. Especially when the Stars are out and the teams playing are full of guys nobody has ever heard of. But I'm surprised that you, as the ranking member of the No-Fun/Non-Hip club, that you watch it.

I'll be honest, Stanley cup playoffs are second only to the NCAA tournament as the best time in sports. I don't watch much during the season, but love the playoffs.

Wings are toast. Been totally outplayed in the first two games and were lucky to gain a split. Eventually wings brass will figure out that if you have a 5'8" 175 lb guy and an equally skilled guy that is 6'1' 210 lbs and can skate the same speed....the bigger guy is gonna win every time. The Vanilla Midget thing just doesn't work anymore.

Agreed with how lucky the Wins were to get a split. Tampa looked lethal in those first two games. I'd heard rumors about how Jeckyl and Hyde this team is at home and on the road but to see it so starkly on display really (should I say the pun) shocked me.

 

Only 22 shots on net allowed is nice, the Wings can win games like that, especially so when none of them go in.

Tampa stole game 4 after knocking Glendening out of the game. Unfortunately for them, he returned for game 5. Tampa has been shut out three times all season. Petr Mrazek lays claim to all 3.

I really like the Hawks chances as with Kane healthy I don't know who has a better team than the Hawks right now. IMO Kane will go down as the greatest American hockey player ever.

Tampa looked like the far better team through the first two games but Detroit has been the better team through the next three. Each team stole a game the other deserved to win so it evened out. Mrazek has been outstanding. I wasn't sure he was the better choice when the playoff started but obviously I'm all on board now.
