D.J. Moore only 4 targets in 3 games

Recommended Posts

Does Newton not like him or something? His role increased a bit as he played 50% of the snaps in week 3. I took this guy in a keeper with some optimism. I haven't watched any of their games this year. I could see if he has like 15 targets and only 6 catches as Newton can't hit the broad side of a barn. But can't he separate or something? Why no love in Carolina?

Its Rookie WR's in general. I just don't think the college game prepares them for all the routes they have to run to be early contributors.

It's not just Moore...

Ridley - 11 rec - 210 yds 4TD - One big game, and has improved in every game. He was considered the most NFL ready of all WR's in terms of route running

Sutton - 5 rec 91 yards

Pettis - 3 rec 96 yards

Kirk - 12rec - 121 yds - Though he could be in line for improvement with Rosen playing

Miller - 8rec - 60yds 1TD

Washington 3rec - 39yds

Chark - 1rec - 13 yards

Gallup - 3rec - 31 yards

T. Smith - 1 Rec - 18 yards

At best you hope these guys come around mid season and can contribute later in the year, but Ridley and Kirk are thus far the only real contributors and that corresponds to the route running ability.

I'm usually not on WRs as rookies, but I hit it big on Michael Thomas as a keeper and thought maybe Moore was the guy this year. Can't win 'em all.

No Panthers wr is worth much right now.

Funchess isn’t worth even a flex play.

It’s just the Panthers system.

Numbers are going up... and watching the health of Torrey Smith closely.

Caught 11 of 14 targets in last 3 weeks. With the Rishard Matthews signing in NY, I dropped Kearse for him.

Yeah. I like where this is going. This is their receiver of their future. Hopefully by next year he will be the go-to guy there.
