weepaws 2,418 Posted January 21, 2015 Nice job so far , they have hired both Trestman and Mornhinweg . Sold pick ups to help Flacco and there offence.
Connorsdad 38 Posted January 21, 2015 So Weepaws is a Baltimoron that actually explains a lot. Yeah Mornhinweg is a west coast offense guy and Flacco did well last year in a similar scheme. Next year we will see if Flacco has a good season like in 2014 or a not so good season like in 2013.

Djgb13 2,338 Posted January 21, 2015 Is it true the Ravens will be replacing the Patriots at this years Super Bowl? It's true that everywhere I look a ravens fan is saying they should DQ NE and the ravens and colts play for the afc championship and who goes to the Super Bowl
Serpent 51 Posted January 21, 2015 It's true that everywhere I look a ravens fan is saying they should DQ NE and the ravens and colts play for the afc championship and who goes to the Super Bowl That's pretty silly, I think I've only seen one or two people make that particular request. Most people think BB should be suspended from coaching the SB, and that's about it. Maybe a year suspension because of Sean Payton's suspension.

My feed was blown up by fans saying that. And a year suspension? No that's way to extreme for something so minute as a couple slightly under inflated balls. A fine would be about the maximum penalty that she be imposed. Payton was involved with freaking bounties. That's a player safety issue and very inhumane. That's like saying someone who jay walked should get the same sentence as someone who was drunk driving

This isn't Belichick's first offense. But anyway there is no punishment yet so it's just speculation. The minimum punishment is $25k fine and it can go up to forfeiture of draft picks. I don't have the source but I read that somewhere.

Read that it was the same punishment of 25k at least and could be more. Still I wouldn't even compare this type of thing to speeding. Jay walking as I mentioned is something it would be compared to. Extremely minute so I don't think even if they were found guilty that the punishment will be anything more than a slap on the wrist

This goes directly to the integrity of the game itself. This type of behaviour - if not stomped on immediately and severely - will cause every single thing about this game to be questioned. That's what a breakdown of integrity does. Fans lose trust. Do you think that the NFL can afford to have fans lose trust? Will this give life to suspicions that refs are being paid off? That players are taking a dive? That they are instructed to hurt other players, and that those things which we previously thought were accidents or coincidences would be thought of differently? This is much more severe than a minor infraction. This is evidence of a much larger problem, now that one franchise has been caught for a second time cheating. Now think of the razor's edge that Goodell has been on since this year's travesties. You think he can afford to deal with this less than harshly? Hell no. This is serious, because it calls into question the nobility and honor of the game.
Djgb13 2,338 Posted January 21, 2015 No where near as serious as some of you are taking it, There shouldnt be a freaking ban on anyone from it. A fine should definitely be issued and NFL should not take it lightly with only a 25k ban but damn every team in the NFL has done some type of cheating so I dont see why everyone is calling for a maximum penalty here. The NFL is run as a business, nobody actually cares who wins and loses, it's just bread and circuses for the masses.

The NFL is run as a business, nobody actually cares who wins and loses, it's just bread and circuses for the masses. Of course there has been integrity. It's just now - recently - being eroded. Fans care who wins and loses - of course. The moment the NFL starts having to deal with fans questioning the legitimacy of the wins and losses is the moment the NFL begins to die.
