MTSkiBum 1,593 Posted October 26, 2016 Is this books we would like to see made into movies, or books that we would like see made into great movies. I have a feeling Dark Tower will get made some day and it will suck. But, if done properly I would like to see.
MTSkiBum 1,593 Posted October 26, 2016 "Good Omens". If you enjoy comedy fantasy, which is a genre not many people read, it is probably the best book in this genre.

Does that fall into the genre? Not sure eta: I made a movie reference...sorry
Hardcore troubadour 12,576 Posted October 26, 2016 I have always wanted to see a good movie made about Ted Williams. Some life he led. Pilot in two wars, John Glenn's wingman in Korea, HOF baseball player and fisherman, had his head frozen.

Hardcore troubadour 12,576 Posted October 26, 2016 Never swung at a bad pitch, right? That's what they say. Some people are critical of him for that. Felt he was good enough that he's should have swung at the close ones when he was getting pitched around. He refused

Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted October 26, 2016 Is this books we would like to see made into movies, or books that we would like see made into great movies. I have a feeling Dark Tower will get made some day and it will suck. But, if done properly I would like to see. That series would be absolutely ruined. I always assume a movie made from a book will suck. Sure there are good ones, I am just not sure which ones will translate well. The Martian was a nice surprise. Fight Club of course is like the pinnacle of book to movie.

Mike Honcho 4,007 Posted October 26, 2016 This could fit into this and the remake thread, but anyone who has read "The Running Man", knows that movie is only VERY LOOSELY based on the book. If someone made a movie true to that story, most people wouldn't even realize they were from the same source material.

cyclone24 1,794 Posted October 27, 2016 And the sea will tell...by Vincent bugliosi (wrote Helter Skelter) True story of a murder on a deserted island and subsequent trial. Pretty fascinating story..and legal insight. Would take a little exaggerating in court drama but Fock....they spun "Sully" into a hour and a half movie that basically had nothing....they could come up with something. SUXBNME 1,319 Posted October 27, 2016 Skeletons in the Closet Anthrax to score the soundtrack. Speaking of Scott Ian did, you know that he played with Steel Panther on stage multiple times? I won't link any of the vids here cause the quality of the recordings are the sux, but I will post one of my favorite Anthrax vids Meh...No I won't. But Madhouse really showed off Joeys voice and seeing Ian clean shaven back then is always weird. Also, I admit that I'm a sucker for Got The Time, every version of I'm the Man but mostly Bring the Noise w/ PE
