smurf blue army 0 Posted August 25, 2006 I'm in a 12 team, 3 keeper league, standard scoring, my keepers this year are LJ, Edge, and Reggie Wayne. I've got the 12th pick first round (other rounds based on lottery), based on who everyone else kept, and who I "think" they'll pick, my only options for best available RB 1st round will be Frank Gore or Chester Taylor. I already have my two RB starters, but I could start Gore or Taylor in my "flex" spot and I'm all for hoarding RB's, but Donald Driver and Hines Ward should also be available 1st Round. goon 0 Posted August 25, 2006 I agree. I think you should definitely grab a WR with that pick. I don't know if that receiver is Driver tho, I think Ward would be a better choice simply because Pitt has the better all around team. I don't see either cracking the 10-TD mark, but that's possible from Gore combined rushing/receiving. His line is much better than last year and the Niners should be able to stretch the field with Bryant on the outside. Ward and Driver could crack the 10-TD mark, but I think 1100 yards is about the best you can expect from these two receivers. If you were earning a point per reception, I might be more inclined to go the other way. But you should be able to land a receiver close to Driver or Ward's caliber in the following round...
