This is kind of a serious situation:

 

Check out the tone of this statement::

 

"The Redskins later issued a statement on Twitter: "On behalf of Alex Smith, we appreciate all of the concerns and prayers over the injury he incurred on November 18th against the Houston Texans. Although this is a serious injury, Alex and his family remain strong. We would ask that everyone please honor the Smith family's request for privacy at this time."

Infections after surgery are not always a simple thing to handle.

 

Smith is obviously not the greatest QB to ever play the game, but he's one of my favorite players in the league. He just kept going and really has some skills. Hopefully the dude doesn't have any permanent damage in the end.

Always thought Smith was a class act. That's tough as a Raider fan to admit, but Godspeed to the man.

Man this sucks, I wish him a quick and full recovery.  :thumbsup:

 

I also hated to he see the Redskins going out that way.  :(
