I had the #1 pick in a league that starts 2QB, 3WR, 2RB, 1TE and a flex, with 2D and a K. It's a 12 team league, and scoring accross the board is pretty even (ie, of the top 25 point getters last year, 10 were RBs, 8 were WRs and 7 were QBs)

Anyways, here's how it went

1.01 Ladainain Tomlinson RB.... decided to go with LT here over LJ, our league rewards receptions pretty highly

2.12 Marvin Harrison WR

3.01 Terrell Owens WR.....the only decent RB here was McGahee, and I coulda went Boldin over these two guys, but decided on the devil and Mr. Smooth..I could have taken Palmer as well

4.12 Jake Plummer QB

5.01 Roy Wiliams WR....again, the RBs here were still horrible, I decided to take the best player available. Plummer was about the 13th QB off the board, but I like him here. As for Roy, I really think he'll explode this year. But the downside is it affected my strategy in Rounds 7-9 cause I needed RBs there.

6.12 Philip Rivers QB

7.01 Corey Dillon RB.....The QBs continued to fly off the board like they always do in our league, but I like Rivers as QB2. There was no faith in Corey Dillon in our league and to be honest I don't like the pick, but at least he's a RB who will get goalline carries.

8.12 Cedric Benson RB

9.01 Curtis Martin RB.....Because of the Roy Williams pick, I had to go with quantity over quality at RB. I'm thrilled with Benson here, and Martin, again nobody really has any faith him, but he's still a starting RB so I took him. But I missed out on WRs I liked like Reggie Brown and Koren Robinson, who woulda been great WR4s.

10.12 Randy McMicheal TE

11.01 Baltimore D....I finally got my TE, and decided to leave it later cause I like the depth there this year. If McMoose starts hot i know to trade him early. I love the Ravens D to bounce back here as well.

12.12 Alex Smith QB

13.01 Mark Clayton WR.....I decided to go with a QB who will have his job for sure (unless he completely messes up) as my backup. I may regret not taking Leinart here, but who knows. As for Mark Clayton, I was targetting David Givens, but he went 2 picks before. I like Clayton as a WR4, especially now that he has an NFL QB throwing him the ball.

14.12 Micheal Turner RB

15.01 Roddy White WR...Again, the WR pickings were starting to get slim. I think White is going to emerge this year, but when you have a QB who can't hit the side of a barn, it doesn't matter how good of a WR you are. Hopefully Vick gets hurt. As for Turner, gotta handcuff the top pick and I thought it was a good time to do it.

16.12 Ben Watson TE

17.01 Buffalo D.....As it got late, I took the best player available. Everyone had their TE, and Watson was still on the board so I took a chance. As for the Bills, our playoffs are week 14-16, and I like their schedule then

18.12 Verron Haynes RB...with the last pick in the draft I took a chance on Haynes beating out Duce Staley for a bigger role int he Pitts RB game

So my team looks like this...

QB Plummer

QB Rivers

WR Harrison

WR Owens

WR Roy Williams

RB Tomlinson

RB Dillon

TE McMicheal

WR/RB Benson

K (I'll pick one up on waivers)

DEF Baltimore

DEF Buffalo

Bench

RB Martin

WR Mark Clayton

WR Roddy White

RB Turner

RB Haynes

QB Alex Smith

TE Watson

I want to get rid of Dillon and Martin as quickly as I can. Also Owens I would move if it helped me upgrade my QBs and RB situation.

So how did I do?? Thanks for any input

You had a great draft. You get a top three RB in LT, he'll score you some points. Owens numbers might slip a little, but he'll have a good year. Harrison will be Harrison, 1000 yards 10 td's. Williams could have a great year with Kitna throwing and plus the Detroit running game isnt all the great. Dillion will put up some good numbers, but Maroney will take some carries away. McMicheal wil have a good year if Culpepper reverts back to his production two years ago. QB may be a little weak, but if Plummer does what he did last year, you will be fine. I like your draft. Though I might have taken LJ over LT. Either way you had a good draft. I give it a 9-10
