gocolts 300 Posted January 19, 2017 So, who wants to fulfill an old man's wish??? I have NEVER seen these guys live. Fly me out to where we are going and I will bring my handicap plate so we can get great parking. Seriously though, this is prolly my last chance to ever see these guys play live. Going to be very hard to not be able to go this. http://www.ghostcultmag.com/iron-maiden-announces-the-book-of-souls-2017-north-american-tour/ Up the irons! Iron Maiden has just announced “The Book Of Souls” North American tour for 2017! After a successful first run last year, the icons will be bringing their massive show back to us this Summer, and bringing Ghost along with them as direct support. Tickets go on sale next Friday at Ironmaiden.com, and they will go fast. DO NOT MISS THIS. Here’s what Steve Harris said on the run: “We are really looking forward to returning to North America for a full tour. We had always planned to go back there and to the UK as last year, due to the global nature of the tour and the period it took, we just didn’t have time to cover them properly and we do still like to get to fans in as many places as possible! So this year we’re able to reach many more cities in America, including a return to places Maiden haven’t played for many, many years like Lincoln Nebraska, Minneapolis, Oklahoma City and Oakland California. We also welcome playing in Brooklyn for the first time. We will, of course, be bringing the full production with us including all the Eddies and the Maya-themed stage sets. There’s been a great reaction from everyone to this tour’s theme, people really seem to love it. We’re still deciding on the final set-list and we’ll work that out once we get into rehearsals. Most of our North American fans haven’t seen the show yet so as we want to give them the same Book Of Souls live experience that we took around the world, it’s unlikely we’ll change much. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, so we will continue to do that!” Check out the must see tour dates below! DonS 3,063 Posted January 19, 2017 I've seen them several times, including the first North American leg for Book of Souls last spring. Definitely go see them if you can. Bummed they're not coming back to the PNW on this leg, but that's just me being greedy.

Bummed they're not coming back to the PNW on this leg, but that's just me being greedy. I missed my chance to see them locally when I was 13. My mother would not let me go because she was pissed I even liked this band. She thought they were for the devil. lol When I was a kid, they had this news magazine type show on that had a segment about bands that were bad for children. They put 5 albums on the screen to watch out for, and I had one, Iron Maiden's The Number of the Beast. My mom FREAKED OUT on that shtt. Only way I got her to settle down was with run to the hills. I said see, this is about how bad the Indians were treated, did they tell you that on this show??? I told her they were just misunderstood. She still would not let me go to their concert though. DonS 3,063 Posted January 19, 2017 Ironically enough my first concert at 13 was going to be Iron Maiden on their Piece of Mind tour. Unfortunately Bruce Dickinson got sick and had to cancel a bunch of shows, including the one I had tix for. The real kick in the nuts is because of this I shamefully must admit that my first ever concert was Twisted Sister. There were even warnings in the paper (the way they used to advertise concerts) about the adult language because Dee Snider would say fock a lot during the show. How quaint it all seems now... gocolts 300 Posted January 19, 2017 Saw them on the powerslave tour THAT was the one I was going to go to when I was 13. I would have LOVED that because I was really into them and had all their albums up to that point.
shotsup 831 Posted January 20, 2017 Saw them on the powerslave tour Saw Piece of Mind tour and Powerslave tour. Was a big fan. Kind of got away from them after Somewhere in Time. Saw them again years later once more but cannot remember what year/tour.

I think the last CD I bought of theirs was Fear of the Dark. Have not really heard much of their stuff after that.
