    Coronavirus - Doomsday

@TimHauck I'm going to give you a piece of advice. Drop the "Some people were saying if you were vaccinated you wouldn't get it, but they were wrong." Because it's not that SOME people were saying it. It's WHO was saying it. Biden AND his administration were saying it. Fauci or Birx could have come out after he said it and corrected him but they didn't. They might have echoed him but I don't remember. But it doesn't matter. It makes a HUGE difference when the President of the United States makes a statement like that compared to, say, Jimmy Fallon, or even you or me. So when you keep up with that schtick, knowing that it's a big deal if the President says it, it hurts the little credibility you might have left. So, I'd suggest you drop it.

ROFLMAO. You're very selective in certain things. You made a big deal about how it was as combination of natural immunity and virus related immunity that helped defeat the disease but now you're acting like it's only the vaccinated who helped defeat the disease. What percentage of the 1/3 that weren't vaccinated do you figure had natural immunity? Covid would have petered out a lot quicker than it did had we not shut sh*t down, even without a marginally worthless vaccine. And stop it with all the BS about variants. You know what one of the traits of virus variants is? They are almost always much less problematic than the original. They lose their potency as they mutate. We probably have 1000's of variants now. We don't even hear about new variants, and we aren't seeing a resurgence in cases despite the FACT that barely anyone is getting booster shots.
  4. I thought you were a lawyer? This sounds like a response I'd get from @IGotWorms
  5. 1) I thought the new lib mantra was that words = violence? When did sanity return? 2) A student at Columbia was stabbed in the eye the other day. Does that count?

Biden Declares War On Women 🌈

    It's not widespread........
  7. So, while the Pro Hamas protestors can apparently do whatever they want at Columbia, the school is refusing entry to an outspoken Jewish professor who wanted to lead a Pro Israel rally: https://nypost.com/2024/04/22/us-news/columbia-professor-and-outspoken-israel-supporter-shai-davidai-says-hes-been-barred-from-the-main-campus/
  8. This is a flat out lie. Beyond that, there is no f'ing way you'd remember every post from someone. As usual, you're full of sh*t.
  9. Sure. I bet they haven't given any specifics and no one has been arrested.
  10. Oh the old, asking people to verify things that didn't happen again trick. How about posting an MSM story about it. That seems to be your gold standard for believing anything. But in this case you believe a Twitter video. God you're an idiot.
  11. Ooh, you got me. That's definitely a real video. The fart story is false though . Why is calling out a false story a weird stance to take?
  12. You know that's fake right? You and @squistion are a special kind of ignorant.

    Homelessness

I'll give you a more complete answer: it's unfair to the OTHER people who live in these areas to just allow rampant encampments. The every day person who has a couple of kids, works, and just wants to live their life in a safe neighborhood that they pay taxes to shouldn't be subject to the results of these types of encampments. These encampments not only take away public places like parks that those people PAY to have access to and may need to walk their dogs or other reasons, especially if they live in apartments or condos, but bring in drug users, higher crime, third world diseases in some cases, etc..... I've laid out my solution in the past. We set up buildings where homeless people can live. Not little shelters but full on big old high rise buildings full of cots/beds. There may be partitions between them to afford a level of privacy but we are not providing apartments. We are providing a place to stay. We also have counselors, some basic medical services, and job placement services at these places. We do not allow drinking or drugs. If you choose to be homeless, and this is for those who choose it or simply can't afford a place right now due to not having a job, then you play by our rules. Just like when you were a kid and you parents told you that if you wanted to live under their roof you followed their rules. The one thing I am 100% against is just giving people money. For the most part these are people who never learned how to budget/save/etc. Why would we just give MORE money to people who weren't capable of managing it when they made it themself? We also need more mental health facilities where people who need that type of health can get it. We used to have that back in the 60's era and at some point (Reagan??) we decided to stop investing in that type of help. We should rebuild that infrastructure. But if you choose to be homeless, are alcoholic or a drug user and won't accept help, or just don't want to play by our rules then you're SOL. But the one thing you don't get to do is just pick a public place and call it your own.
