Idea for a fantasy football league.

Recommended Posts

8 guys - everyone that signs up selects their home team.

random draft order to select the remaining 24 teams.

Each person gets 4 NFL teams to pick their weekly lineup.

No trades, no free agency, no waivers, no adds or drops.

If a player is traded during the season, the person that has that team gets to use said player.

Don't be a dolt and draft 4 teams on the same bye week.

something different? :dunno:

Takes far less thought, which is good for some.

What if your home team sucks?

Cool idea though.

Pat will take the lions, they suck in terms of winning, but they put up fantasy points. what better than to get your entire home team instead of reaching for them in a draft?

In. Assuming the $ makes it worthwhile.

I'm up for whatever. $100 per? raise it in the future? $200 per?

I'm thinking no head to head and do a point based system.

Highest team for a week gets 10 points. 2nd gets 8, 3rd gets 7. etc.

play 14 weeks and week 15 the top 2 teams play for it all.

You guys would be focked if I join. Panthers and falcons are close to me. Julio, freeman, Olsen, and cam. Thats a winning lineup

you only get to choose one. someone else might draft the other.

We kicked something similar around one year...8 guys draft 4 teams each but start all players from two teams weekly, this way if qb etc. goes down you get all stats from said team.

I think it's a great idea minus the home team part.

I just wanted everyone to have their home team, everyone likes to have their home players.

When you sign up, you pick a team. It doesn't have to be your home team, I guess.

it's only 8 people though. I'll be able to find 7 that want their home team.,

do you live in Cleveland :D

Detroit, but yeah, imagine your first pick is Cleveland and anothers is the Rams or the Saints. You're focked from the jump.

I'm in if it's not home team. $100 sounds good, winner take all.

Also, the championship game can't be called the Special Ed or something stoopid like that;)

eta: If you get 8 that want that (home team), no hard feelings and I'll bow out.

decimal scoring???

Do you mean 1 point per 10 yards rush/rec and 1 point per 25 yards passing?

Is that set-uppable (new word) on a website? Because I can't imagine the clusterfock of you trying to manually score it every week. Although that alone may be worth playing.

Does yahoo allow you to manually input rosters instead of drafting? I think they used to.

They do. Set up as offline draft.

Ed could just input the rosters after we draft here. The only thing there is I am unsure the max players allowed per team but we would all know who has who and they could stay as free agents if need be.

Ummm, yes, top scoring means crap, separation at the position is everything and with only 8 starting QBs that are getting points at 1/3 the rate of other positional players and at 2/3 for TDs then that position is seriously de-valued
