***American History Draft***

Recommended Posts

I have read Hiroshima Nagasaki by Paul ham. It was very good.

Did you get my text? I sent you my next pick, need a ruling please.

I got it but don't remember right now.

I, uh, I don't control my phone.

When I'm not working, I don't need it. But it's quite popular in the house with other people. Really, the only time I look at my phone is when the kids want me to plug in the password so they can play games. In the split second I glanced, it did register that you'd sent me some picks for the draft but I couldn't tell you what they were.

Now, I'll go get the phone...

------

... got it. That combo should be fine.

This thing is going at a glacial pace.

I dont want to be a boat rocker, and I agreed to the format, but does anyone else thing that going three rounds deep on each category is a lot?

Some of the categories I cant think of three at all. Even the big categories, three deep will be tough.

Anyway. Whatever. Im in till its done.

I'd wanted to go about 20/per like we did in theworld history draft. Up through eleven participants all numbers could get us there pretty closely (+/-2) ... all numbers except eight.

Eight forces us to choose between 16(x2) or 24(x3).

So, as has happened with every other decision to be made, when I asked for advice ... nobody weighted in with any.

I like the 3 deep, gives you thought, things like Presidents are limited to 45/24 picked and some good ones have been used elsewhere so far

also makes it so you can lock up a category if you are strong in a field. I took Walt Disney for example and was thinking of grabbing 2 more businessmen this last round

it adds more strategery

Fair enough. Its a couple of categories like educator that have me stumped. Lol.

Now can people make their damn picks so we can get this done by Christmas?

I know I am over drafting him, but I don't give a fock and eventually this is going to go to a vote and you just have to know your audience and this should lock me up a vote or two.

5.5 - Donald Trump - Wildcard

As good a pitcher early in his career as he was a hitter.

The gap between what he accomplished during his era vs the next best guys is unreal.

William and Clarke were picked as one

William and Clark were known as a duo, like the Wright brothers

Aldrin and Armstrong were never referred to as a duo, but each as individual. Now if you wanted to say "Moon Landing" or include Michael Collins ok maybe

Samual Clemens is still available, probably the best writer in American history. :ninja:

why do you keep doing this?

2 sep guys

I shouldnt have the first time and I corrected it.

This time, its appropriate. They were the first to explore the moon. One drove the bus, the other got out walking.

If I took just one, someone else could come in and take the other. It was one achievement, just like the wright brothers and Lewis & Clarke. I want the whole achievement on my roster, I dont want to share.

OK thanks to whomever brought it up. I meant to hours ago.

TBOMB taking Neil and Buzz is a deal breaker. No way does he get both. WTF is wrong with you man ???

If this is allowed the whole draft is a sham. BS. Like the poster but not the picks. One or other man.
