Elbow issues

Then things are tightening up on me more and more. The only way to describe it is if I stretch my arms out as far and as far as they can go like on a bed, it feels good but painful the same time. Like I'm stretching out the tendons in the oboe. It's as much when I bend my elbow it's when I straighten the arm they're really notice it. But, all things considered, it's like having a stiff back. You want to stretch it out. It's uncomfortable, but you feel like it'll be better if you can just stretch it out for a while.

 

Bottom line? I know the above doesn't make sense. I can see where people would be in pain bending their elbow kind of like bending their knee. But in this case the pain and tightness Comes from flattening the arm out.

Sounds like carpal tunnel. You should take a break from typing for a while. Should be good for your elbows and the mean girls mental health.

Is it golfers elbow? Tennis elbow? Where is the pain/tightness? I have both with good success eleviating it.

Sounds like carpal tunnel. You should take a break from typing for a while. Should be good for your elbows and the mean girls mental health.

Is it golfers elbow? Tennis elbow? Where is the pain/tightness? I have both with good success eleviating it.

Right on the elbow pit between bicep and foreflipper.

I swear, there are times where I will stick my arms out crucifix Style and then just lean into a doorway with my forearms on either side of the door jamb letting my weight stretch out the elbows.

 

If you've ever seen Braveheart where they're stretching him out in all four directions? That actually looks pretty darn good.

Take as many natural anti inflammatories as you can, that's safe. I use black pepper and turmeric in my shakes. I also started using seaweed for this purpose. I'm sure it goes beyond inflamation, but there's probably some there. See it starts to help. I have elbow issues too. It's really annoying, and it's a hindrance. When I go to shake someone's hand, I can feel the pain shoot down my arm.

Sounds like biceps tendinopathy. Any shoulder pain?

 

Rest, antiinflammatory meds and physical therapy. But I'd be reluctant to take meds like ibuprofen or naproxen if you're drinking regularly.

Ibuprofen helps me the most. I try to go the natural route, but the effects have seen to fade. The pain is pretty much always there unless I take ibuprofen, which i don't want to take every day for the rest of my life

I'm unaware of any naturopathic anti-inflammatory that works. Unlike wiff, your elbow pain is probably from overuse/exertion. Having dealt with elbow pain myself for quite a while, let me assure you whatever benefit you derive from lifting ain't worth a lifetime of pain/pain meds. If you have golfer's or tennis elbow, there are exercises you can do with the Theraband Flexbar which help.

Why is NSAID not recommended when drinking?

 

A chemist once told me to use anti inflammatory meds during physical activities to incorporate them into exercised muscle tissues.

 

I always take ibuprofen or Aleve when drink and golf. Hope I'm not destroying my liver and kidneys.

In my line of work I have been in the non lifting camp and the lifting camp. When I am not lifting weights, it causes me to have to compensate when lifting something heavy. I will really screw myself up if I don't keep extra muscle mass on when it comes time to do the heavier tasks.

Well if I don't lift it goes away. I do need to reduce the weight I do on legs, repping 675 pounds on leg press. My knees don't like that.

NSAIDS + alcohol can be harmful to multiple organs, especially the gut, where they promote gastrointestinal bleeding. And there is no good reason to take them while exercising.

 

NSAIDS are fine in short courses for acute pain. Chronic use is associated with kidney problems and fluid retention in heart failure. Liver damage can occur, but is uncommon.

Make sure you stretch and foam roll all of the muscles in the arm and shoulder. The stress on your elbow may be from tightness elsewhere.

Seems like you're screwing yourself up by lifting too. Perhaps you can transition your skills to work that isn't so rough on the body? You only get one set of joints, and chronic pain is the suck. And there's no way your job entails 675 pound leg presses.

Wiff is some type of voodoo mage or something

 

woke up this morning with a pinched UCL, my arm is numb and its very painful, like when I tried to throw too much in college and your elbow would hang

 

only thing thats reducing the pain is ice and gripping it

Elbow pain is terrible. I weince when it's really acting up and I know I hasvw to shake someone's hand
