Percy Harvin Trade advice for owners.

Harvin is a NYJ. Initially I thought it was a disaster... like his last game was it 4 rec for 0 yds I forget. I always said he was RB then WR... I said losing Tate + Rice is horrible both top receiving WRs... worse off they got no returner now. But as a 49er fan... NFC West title...

 

If you have return yds/TD scoring I would keep Percy for sure. On TNF Powell top NYJ returner was hurt and regardless is now defacto KR and maybe PR but I would not want that maybe occasionally cause its tough hits for his frail frame. Percy is top 5 returner arguably best one.

 

As far NYJ O QB downgrade but really Percy never did anything as a receiver traditionally... the system was great in Sea think it can be better in NYJ. They are heavy run team and like trick plays with read option that Geno deployed TNF room for improvement but if you bring in Percy with reverses like Jet Sweep or other option plays I'm sure now Percy is good for 30 rush yds a game and some screens so safe receptions.

 

So 30 rush, 80 return yds, 4-5 rec 40-50 yds feel is what you can expect it isn't a high scoring offense maybe they go traditional pound it to the endzone. Percy will get a slight boost on his stock and be more consistent a low end 2WR.

 

I almost recommended a trade only for this reason the reason he gets hurt due to heavy carries... if it gets 6-8 carries per game I be weary and not happy if he is my sole 2WR I would add 1 or 2WR in anticipation of his injury. A guy like Decker makes sense and is cheap.
