cdogge 17 Posted October 26, 2017 Anybody flexing him tonight? Considering the game-script should be run heavy does he appeal to anybody? What's the over/under on # of carries?
cavern 70 Posted October 26, 2017 his carries, since being listed #1 on their depth chart (fwiw) have been 12, 15, 10. the over/under on carries is likely somewhere in the 12-13 range. i could imagine having to put him in, but i would not if i had better options. there is at least as good a chance that either game script goes wrong or buck allen gets the nod as there is that collins finally has a good game
Johnny B. Goode 17 Posted October 26, 2017 Unfortunately I think that's right. Buck gets GL and passes. Even if Collins averages 5 YPC, still not much upside with only about 12 carries. He was dropped in my shallow benches league.

BobSanders_33 127 Posted October 26, 2017 I was on the train earlier but after seeing how they used him in what should have been a perfect game script against Oakland I sent him to Dropsville.
DankNuggs 305 Posted October 27, 2017 He will go off tonight. Book it

snatchit 108 Posted October 27, 2017 They are gonna ride his arse in the 2nd half with a big lead... dude looks great ! So happy they are throwing him a few balls
snatchit 108 Posted October 27, 2017 I bet he breaks a big one in the second half... ends up with about 130 yrds, 4 catches and a TD. Not a bad night. He is my bye week fill in.... ooops wrong math on the yards
Super Cubs 132 Posted October 27, 2017 Starting AC for Gurley's bye. So far so good.
stonewall 647 Posted October 27, 2017 Seattle was foolish for giving him away. So happy that the long wait I've had has finally paid off.....at least for a night (or until he fumbles again). Winter may be coming....but time to crank up the AC.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 27, 2017 Seattle was foolish for giving him away. Yep. I've been crying about it since Carson went down.
stonewall 647 Posted October 27, 2017 Noticed Harbaugh still trying to keep Allen busy, including a lot of goal line. Wonder what things will look like when West returns? Surely, he showed enough tonight against a "supposedly" good rush defense to be da man.
DankNuggs 305 Posted October 27, 2017 He will go off tonight. Book it
stonewall 647 Posted October 27, 2017 He will go off tonight. Book it Full credit....and, although I hate to be greedy, a TD would have been more of a "going off"....at least icing on the cake. Very pleased, nevertheless.
SpenceToons 70 Posted October 27, 2017 With Buck Allen losing control of the ball at the goal line, perhaps they won't be quite so allergic to letting Collins have a few goal line totes.
Antiramie 50 Posted October 27, 2017 With Buck Allen losing control of the ball at the goal line, perhaps they won't be quite so allergic to letting Collins have a few goal line totes. But it resulted in a Balt TD. So Harbaugh will prob bench Collins next week.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 27, 2017 Had him on my bench but I'm actually thrilled with his performance. If Harbaugh doesn't feature the Ravens offense around Collins from here on out there is something seriosuly wrong. Collins looks like he's shot out of a cannon ever play. He's done very well holding onto the football lately. Also, it was nice to see him catching some passes out of the backfield, something they haven't used him for. Collins could be entering RB2 territory ROS.
weepaws 2,456 Posted October 27, 2017 Nope he won't make it that high. They still have T West and Woodhead returning. And Woodhead is going to be the third down Rb once he's ready. Allen and Collins will continue too RBBC for rushing att with Allen getting the goal line work.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 27, 2017 Allen should keep passing duties until Woodhead is back. When Woody returns Allen can join West on the bench where both JAGs belong. Thats how a team with a clue would handle the situation.
weepaws 2,456 Posted October 27, 2017 They haven't shown to be that team with a clue.
Dashow28 6 Posted October 27, 2017 With Buck Allen losing control of the ball at the goal line, perhaps they won't be quite so allergic to letting Collins have a few goal line totes. To be fair, the handoff wasnt the greatest either.
cavern 70 Posted October 27, 2017 even on a day where collins was running wild, allen nearly equaled his touches and got the GL carry. i like the good day by collins but don't think yesterday means he's a weekly starter
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 27, 2017 They haven't shown to be that team with a clue. They haven't. They will also be starting Mallett at QB.
weepaws 2,456 Posted October 27, 2017 Not by choice.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted October 27, 2017 Not by choice.Actually, they kind of are. They have a better option sitting out there but their owner already prayed on it and God told him not to sign him. Bastian of integrity and honesty, Ray Lewis, blamed said player's girlfriend.
murf74 461 Posted October 27, 2017 He is probably still learning the system. I am struggling to gauge his value in dynasty with all Dixon, West, Allen gang involved.
weepaws 2,456 Posted October 27, 2017 Not my point. Point was they make choices of when to play those Rbs, but if Flacco was still available he would indeed be playing. Don't know about the owner. Sorry.
cavern 70 Posted October 27, 2017 He is probably still learning the system. I am struggling to gauge his value in dynasty with all Dixon, West, Allen gang involved. good question. i do not think west is a factor here. dixon...i think they intended him to be the man this year - but, by the time he is healthy again it will have been a long time since he's played. i can't take him seriously allen has never been a guy they have INTENDED to be the man, but i think he has played his way into the conversation woodhead was not listed but is also in this picure. in sum, i think collins is definitely worth rostering - where i rank him... i don't know...as of right now probably somewhere around 20 going into next year, only because of the uncertainty of role. if i had a sense they wanted him to be the guy, then he's top 10 for next year
tanatastic 2,061 Posted October 27, 2017 First game in double digits for him. I like him going forward but that relies on NFL coaches to have a clue, something Im not that confident in.
fanfootballtn 33 Posted October 27, 2017 It took Joe Flacco to get hurt for the coaches to realize Collins should get more touches.
Drizzay 645 Posted October 27, 2017 I just dropped him for Mack right before the game. Hopefully, that doesn't come back to bite me in the ass
wizbang 10 Posted October 27, 2017 Baltimore moved to 4-4. As coaches enter games that will immediately influence their playoff berth, they become less prone to let mediocre performance slide. Last night Collins was THE spark Baltimore has been seeking. He was obviously their most explosive player. Harbaugh wants to make the playoffs. Collins can help. I envision a second half similar to Ajayi last year.

I envision a second half similar to Ajayi last year. maybe - not to be repetitive, but even though collins was clearly the spark (as you said) allen still got 18 touches (to collins 20). i still have concern that this is a timeshare and one that could get murkier as west and woodhead get healthy. i hope not, but yesterday's game did not convince ME that collins has emerged as the man in the eyes of the coaches
