Challenger 72 Posted November 22, 2017 This is the Doctson 2.0 thread, I remember so clearly hyping Doctson since early but the targets and trust was never there. We all know Kirk will put up yards and TDs every game, but the order has always been Thompson, Reed/Crowder, Pryor, Grant, then Doctson. Now week 12, and after some injuries, we are finally here. http://www.nfl.com/fantasyfootball/story/0ap3000000881302/article/koh-knows-josh-doctson-is-a-fantasy-leaguewinner Doctson is a league winner? I agree. *As a side advertisement, pickup Byron Marshall while you can.
Matt Mueller 146 Posted November 22, 2017 I like him. I'm hoping Crowder eats this week in PPR with Thompson gone.
dcgangstas 41 Posted November 22, 2017 I think Doctson is starting to emerge. Having said that, he hasn't demonstrated that he can gain separation from an elite #1 corner. He did next to nothing against shadow coverage from Xavier Rhodes (4 for 30), and the one time that he did get loose for a red zone target Doctson fell down. Nearly all of his yardage last week came after Marshown Lattimore went down. It's one thing to put up yardage on some jabroni, it's quite another to be dominant on an elite CB. Doctson will likely get shadowed by Janorus Jenkins tomorrow. Then he gets a murderers' row of Casey Hayward in Week 14, Patrick Peterson in Week 15, and Aqib Talib in Week 16. Ouch. You sure you want to risk starting Doctson in the FF playoffs?

stonewall 647 Posted November 22, 2017 Bought up Crowder everywhere I could get him. Doctson with the hype....but I believe Crowder is the WR to own down the stretch.

tanatastic 2,061 Posted November 23, 2017 Ill risk it, my wr2 has been a black hole void of points.
Ray_T 588 Posted November 23, 2017 I think Doctson has shown signs of emerging. He's definitely a WR3/Flex start. and I think if you are in a pinch, you can throw him in at WR2. the situation warrants it. I think he will get plenty of targets. And that is what you want. Mr Neil 63 Posted November 23, 2017 Im debating between him and stills. My only worry this week is Janoris Jenkins and how hes good vs the perimeter. Also as a Saints fan last week he only did his damage once Lattimore went down
stonewall 647 Posted November 24, 2017 Bought up Crowder everywhere I could get him. Doctson with the hype....but I believe Crowder is the WR to own down the stretch. After getting Rivered earlier today, this cat is giving me a glimpse of hope.

Challenger 72 Posted November 24, 2017 I wouldn't call it great game, but I take it for the TD. It's a push call. I am batting 50% this week... was hoping for higher.

You are right....not a great game for him fantasy wise. I guess what I was saying is that it looked like a fantastic game after catching the improbable late 4th quarter to salvage his day. Gepetto 982 Posted November 24, 2017 He would have had a 37 yard catch but drew pass interference. They also went to him deep in the middle of the endzone but Janoris Jenkins was all over him on that pass.

njacinto 4 Posted November 24, 2017 Damn, he just went UP to get that ball for his TD... almost similar to AJ Green when he first came to the NFL. According to combine data, AJ Green has a vertical jump of 34+ inches... Doctson has a vertical jump of 41 inches. Amazing. Nonetheless, AJ flashes that leaping ability, body control, and his wide catch-radius almost every game. Doctson has it, but you only see a few glimpses of it... He and Cousins aren't quite on the same page yet, but one day.

Prior to the "improbable late" catch, we're looking at a one reception day? I like Doctson as a prospect but I don't see the hype behind the "emergence" talk,

nobody 2,037 Posted September 24, 2018 I've been invested in Doctson since he got drafted. Sat on him when he was hurt all year. Sat on him all last year, too. Sitting on him again, and getting frustrated. Alex Smith and Jay Gruden are the worst people to have paired up with him. Alex Smith hates throwing to his receivers and Jay Gruden doesn't want to coach players up and can't scheme ways to get one of his best athletes the ball. They just have him run nothing but fade routes the entire game. It's nuts. He is a Dez Bryant type athlete and they can't figure out how to involve him in the offense. It's mind-boggling Or is he just too dumb to learn the play book? What the hell is going on? I fear he won't do until he hooks up with a Doug Pederson or Aaron Rodgers or hell even a Ryan Fitzpatrick who is willing to Chuck it.
TimmySmith 2,782 Posted September 24, 2018 Don't blame Smith, Doctson couldn't get going with Cousins either. Send him to the WW and don't look back.
makindollaz 40 Posted September 24, 2018 After a donut this week, he's officially at the bottom of my bench until he somehow/miraculously puts together 2-3 double digit games in a row.

dcgangstas 41 Posted September 24, 2018 Doctson is just another first-round BUST. I know the Skins were hoping that he would break-out, but he hasn't shown much of anything this season. I don't know if Smith trusts him entirely; Alex seems to prefer Richardson. And to think the Skins traded down one spot with the Texans when they could have had Will Fuller. weepaws 2,456 Posted September 25, 2018 I was at the game. He cant get open. And his hands are suspect. Drop him. Wow being a little harsh on the guy. I mean as a wr in the nfl, how important is it to be able to get open and to be able to actually catch the ball, those skills might be a little over rated.
RaiderHaters Revenge 3,569 Posted September 25, 2018 Dynasty. The guy is an athletic freak dime a dozen. Show me a 4th/5th/6th WR on any team that isn't an "athletic freak" or some SPARQ guy
nobody 2,037 Posted September 25, 2018 I don't watch a ton of Redskins games, but I've never seen him run anything but go routes and fade routes. Not true I guess. Saw him run an out route once. How do we know he can't get open?
