False. This is just false. I remember it well. We were told 95%+ effective against catching it. Period. That was hat we were ALLLLL told.

No no no no no. When the vaccines came out, we were told over and over these were 95% effective in preventing you from catching it.(J&J was like 72%) THAT was what was told. THEN it turned into, well they vaccines will make covid less severe. I'm not on either side of this vax argument. I got the first two, never got a booster. But this was initially wrong-100% wrong. And don't try to change history. It was just wrong. Bad science or whatever, but we were told it was effective in PREVENTING covid initially, not making it less severe.
