  1. Now have 7 signed up, need 5 more. Leaguesafe link (with majority rule payout) will be established as soon as we get to 10 teams. 2 Jedi spots left, 3 Sith spots.
  2. Now have 6 signed up, need 6 more. Specify in your email/reply if you want to be invited to Jedi division or Sith division.
  3. Have 6 interested thus far, forgot to add for lurkers with no account: email at behnjahmin1@yahoo.com for invite. Auction draft currently set for Aug 31st 9PM EST but that is flexible.
  4. Two divisions: the Jedi and Sith. Team name can be a Jedi knight or Sith Lord. ESPN Auction draft at some agreeable time in very late August or early Sept. $60 buy-in through leaguesafe. Standard scoring except for 0.5 PPR and 5pts per passing TD. Standard lineup except 1 WR/TE flex. Assuming 12 teams then 6 make the playoffs with 2 first round byes. Bottom six compete in a consolation bracket mirroring the real playoffs. Payouts assuming 12 teams: $400 to 1st $180 to 2nd $80 to 3rd $60 to Toilet/Consolation bowl winner. So into the final week 1/2 the league is still competing for some cash. Shooting for 12 teams but wouldn't mind 14. Have 4 interested currently, not creating the league until I get at least 7-8 people and go from there. Anyone interested?
  5. Up to 9 spots filled now, I think this would be a fun league if anyone is interested.
  6. Hey guys I know it's kind of late in the preseason to start something, but one of my long-time leagues just disbanded and so I wanted to try my hand at one more before the season starts. I've been playing fantasy sports for over a decade and I've never commished a league nor been in one that had the exact settings I wanted, I'm also a Star Wars fan and really wanted to incorporate that as the theme for a fantasy league. With the movie coming out right as the league champ gets crowned I think it'd be a great time for something like this. League Setup: 16 teams. 1 division of 8 Jedi and 1 division of 8 Sith. 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1WR/RB, 1K, 1DST, 5 BN. Standard scoring except for 0.5 PPR and 5 points per passing TD. Rosters are a touch thin to dampen the 'one random player goes off and you win' effect sometimes seen in 16+ sized leagues. Also keeps the look of the free agency pool closer to 12 team leagues, hopefully more strategy and less brute-force FAAB poaching. FAAB waivers are with a $125 budget. Auction draft budget is $250. The draft date is set for September 9th at 8:30 PM EST, one day before the NFL season opener. I think a 16 man auction draft would be pretty fun, with various Jedi and Sith personalities one-upping each other. Payment: $75 (possibly $50) entry fee through Leaguesafe. Champ gets $600, 2nd gets $250, 3rd gets $150, 4th gets $45. $5 a week goes to the highest scoring team. This runs the regular season and playoffs. Any of the 16 teams can win it each week, even those on bye. $70 is still left in the pot. If a Jedi wins the league then all the other seven Jedi get an additional $10 since they practice altruism. If a Sith wins the league then the champion and 2nd highest-placing Sith each get an additional $35. Sith rarely show true loyalty, but most adhere to the Rule of Two. Playoffs: The top 2 records and the top highest-scoring team (excluding the top 2 records) from each division make the playoffs. The Jedi with the most remaining points and the Sith with the best remaining record also make it as two wildcards. This is because Jedi have more discipline, while the Sith overpower and brutalize. Total of 8 teams make the postseason which starts in week 13. Head-to-Head week 13: The winner (best record) of each division gets a first round bye. Also, the highest scoring team (excluding the winners) in both divisions each get a first round bye. 4 teams are on bye. The other 4 teams compete in this brief elimination round, with only the highest scoring Jedi and the highest scoring Sith advancing. Points-based weeks 14 & 15: The remaining 6 teams all compete over two weeks. After this gauntlet round, the highest scoring Jedi and the highest scoring Sith again advance, along with the next highest scoring team. Three-way Super Bowl weeks 16 & 17: The remaining three teams compete over two weeks to determine the Champion force user, as well as 2nd and 3rd places. This is also points-based. 4th place is determined during this round as well, with the three eliminated teams from the last round competing in an identical format. More information: You can be either a Sith or a Jedi. I am Darth Plagueis. I don't care how deep into the lore you go to assume an identity, I just ask that you have your team name be a 'real' Jedi/Sith (or a very close ally a la General Grievous) so I can indulge myself and keep up the Sith v. Jedi fantasy. It is kind of late to be starting a league, but with the Sept 9th draft date I think we still have a solid amount of time to get something going if there's any interest here. I think it'd be cool to have a SW league come to an end right as the movie is coming out and hype is it at an all-time high. Been grinding away with my normal leagues (that I love dearly) for over a decade. I've got fantasy experience and a good idea of what I think makes a good commissioner. So, if you're interested in embracing your hatred and joining the dark (or light) side of this league, please post here. *Have 7 out of 16 spots filled.
