unckeyherb 2 Posted June 23, 2006 Geoff Hobson, of Bengals.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis revealed Monday, June 19, that QB Carson Palmer (knee) could play in the team's first preseason game Aug. 13, versus the Washington Redskins. I'm in a 12 team-2 person keeper league, with 3-4 possible keepers. McGahee, Julius and Chester were the ones I was debating about. Palmer, however, is looking more and more like a week one starter. I really like this guy's potential for years to come. High potency offense, great WRs, in his second year he was the highest overall fantasy scorer in my league. (all TD's count for 6 points) Is this a case where I should hold onto him as he'll be the next Peyton for years to come? A few things to note: 1. we do not give up the draft position of the keeper. 2. this year I have 2 first round picks due to a trade last season. So at the end of the first round I could have two-three good RB's and a stud QB. Otherwise I would keep 2/3 of the above mentioned RB's and draft 2 studly WR's in the first round. What do people think of Palmer's status-seeing as how he seems determined to be on the field as soon as possible.
Timinator 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Depending on your league's keeper structure, Palmer is a keeper for as long as you can keep him.

Especially if what you are saying is that you can keep any player(s) without having to give up a draft pick, for as long as you want? Palmer is a keeper for the forseeable future or until he becomes ineffective.
Jeebus 3 Posted June 23, 2006 There are some that are saying the Bengals offence is the next Colts offence. If you can get, or keep, Palmer....... Absofreakinlutely.

bjlmonster 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Yep, keep Palmer. I have turned down numerous trade offers for him in my dynasty and can't stand giving him up in my 3 man keeper league (too many good RB's to keep). Keep Carson and McGahee.
