chcougar1 6 Posted February 2, 2014 I'm thinking about trying to deal AP to upgrade at WR. This is a 10 team dynasty league and we start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, WR or Rb flex, 1te, d/st, and a kicker. We are thinking about adding a third wide receiver but this has not been confirmed yet. Here is my roster: QB: Cam, Roethlisberger RB: AP, L. Bell, Moreno, M. Ball, Vereen, Ingram, Blount WR: Dez, Cruz, Edelman, C. Patterson, T. Austin, Hopkins TE: Reed, Fleener D/ST: Chiefs K: Walsh Thinking about targeting D. Thomas but not sure. Still early and could be a lot of movement for some players. Any initial thoughts?
Upper Class Trash 67 Posted April 18, 2014 You aren't getting D. Thomas for AP. In the dynasty leagues I am in, AP has so little value the owners have been stuck with him. There is a time when trading an aging player makes sense, and with AP, it was two years ago. Everyone knows he's going to run out of mileage on those wheels in the next two years. Even though he's a freak of nature, some limitations do still apply. I expect this to be his last "great" season, then he's going to fall down a bit. His fall won't be as extreme as some others, but no way is anyone giving up a D. Thomas, or any other great young WR for a RB who is entering (has entered?) the downside of his career trajectory. ffgiant 10 Posted April 29, 2014 It is all about timing. You might trade to teams that in a win now mode to get a better return. Otherwise due to AP's mileage and age, he won't be able to fetch player like D Thomas.
imay09 2 Posted May 5, 2014 It sounds like UCT is on track with D.Thomas. That would be huge swing in upside if you can land a young receiver in a thrower's offense for AD this early. You'll look pretty smart two season away if it goes through.
chcougar1 6 Posted May 9, 2014 I think I'm pretty solid at RB, but I definitely need to upgrade at WR unless Cruz returns to form. Do you guys think I need to make a move or just stay put? I started 6-2 last year but finished 6-6 and missed the playoffs
