In the Semi's for the 4th year in a row

Recommended Posts

and will need some magic to advance. My opponent has Mahomes, Elliot, Chubb (who I drafted), Tyreek, Allen and has killed it the 2nd half of the season. Need some help this week.

RB (start 2)- Gurley (of course a start), Aaron Jones, Josh Adams

WR (start 2)- JuJu and Cooper, also have Cory Davis and Taylor Gabriel

TE (start 1)- Jimmy Graham, Evan Engram, or Chris Herndon

K (start 1)- Giants Rosas or Vikings Bailey

D/ST (start 1)- Texans at the Jets, Chargers at the Chiefs, or Browns at Denver

IDP (start 1)- Kiko Alonso or Myles Jack

The league is 1/2 PPR with a bonus for TD's over 50 (double TD points). Here are my thoughts for starting:

QB- Watson

RB- Gurley and Jones

WR- JuJu and Cooper

TE- Herndon

Flex- (need 1) ???

K- Rosas

D/ST- Texans

IDP- Alsono

For the flex, an argument can be made for Adams, Davis, and Gabriel. Jordan Howard just ran for 100 yards against the Rams, making Adams an interesting prospect (also Cory Clement is out). Davis still gets a high number of targets. Their matchup vs. the Giants is a bit enticing, even on the road, and the Titans are on the mini-bye week having played on Thursday. Gabriel hasn't done much lately, but the Packers give up the 3rd most points to WR's.

Picking the best lineup is essential this week, so any help is appreciated. I was leaning towards Davis over Ekeler last week, but the advice here helped changed my mind (thanks for that). Thanks.

Adams looks the part as a rb1 , but that’s indeed the problem.

Just give him the keys.

Nice solid team bro ! Your 4 pack of Gurley, A-Aron Jones, JUJU, and Cooper very strong !

Looking at your team my first thought is Cmon

D. Watson pick your game up ! The last couple weeks have been a total half a$$ performance. We need a week 12 effort in a week 15 playoff game !

On to your flex spot. I understand the temptation to start a rb in there like Josh Adams. Doug Pederson just is not running the ball enough to warrant that and this past week vs Cowboys zero targets for Adams in the passing game. That is a problem for me. I do not see a clear flex option unfortunately. I would go with Corey Davis over Adams, Gabriel, left over TEs.

Your TE spot is a tough choice too. I will say Graham going to GB has been terrible. If he stays in Seattle a top 5 TE this year seemed pretty possible. Chris Herndon has been ok. For me it is between Engram and Graham this week. Not an easy decision. Engram and Graham both had 5 targets in week 14 Engram did more with them. I would start Engram this week but it is super close.

I like to go with the defense playing at home but I see that is not an option. The Texans is your best bet.

Yeah your ok with Kiko as your IDP 76 tackles, 40 assists 3 ints, 3 forced fumbles, no sacks which stinks.

Myles Jack has been less active in the tackles department with 57, with 26 assists, 1 int, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble. He does have a pick6 vs Giants in week 1. So yeah Kiko is your guy.

Not sure how your league rules are set up. Are you still able to pickup players ? Any decent players that are trending up on the waiver wire for your flex spot ? Like Justin Jackson (Chargers), Elijah McGuire (Jets), Dante Pettis (9ers) all better flex options for week 15.

Update ** Check status on McGuire before possible pickup. Missed practice with ankle injury today.

Good luck and Happy Holidays!

It just seems like Peterson wants to focus on Wentz passing the ball. Defenses aren't playing the Eagles honest. Adams could help open things up in a passing game if he'd commit to running more.

Connersdad, thanks for this. First, let me clarify that I have no moves left. I mismanaged my roster this year, causing this. So, I have to go with what I have (on my bench are Andy Dalton, Emmanuel Sanders, and now Malcom Brown, all on IR). Aaron Jones has a very tough matchup at Chicago. Just look at what they did to Gurley. But, with what I have, I pretty much have to play him. Essentially, I have 2 decisions, TE and Flex. For Flex, Davis has been inconsistent, but there have been some games when he's put good points. At the Giants is going to be tough, though, as their Defense has really stepped up. Adams has potential if Peterson would commit to him. Jordan Howard just ran for 100 yards against the Rams. They can be run on. I'm leaning towards Adams, but that may change. For TE, I have 3 options, go with the underperforming Graham against a tough Bears Defense, go with Engram against the team the gives up the fewest points to TE's, or go with Herndon against a team that gives up the 7th most points to TE's.

Thanks for your feedback.

In the end you have to start the players your gut tells you to start ! You can not just follow what we say ! Use our opinions along with what you think and start that player ! It seems your thinking is fine ! Go with it ! Nothing is worse then going against what you think and losing !

Good luck ! Happy Holidays to you and your family

Line up looks good, I don't know how I feel about Josh Adams this week now that it looks like Wentz will be OUT. I also don't like Corey David or Gabriel at your FLEX, so I would go with Adams...the Rams do give up fantasy points to RB's.

At TE if Odell is out again this week I would go with Ingram, if not go with Herndon.

Help me out please:

Thank Jcleve. I'm in 2 minds about Adams. If the Eagles would dedicate to the run, he'd be a valuable play this week. It's not a matter of effectiveness. He's still averaging 5 yards per carry. The problem has been the Eagles desire to throw the ball. I just read a stat that said the Eagles were 54-46 pass/run last year. This year, it's 61-39 (and they're losing). With Foles at QB, they may game plan more runs this week, to slow the game pace and to protect Foles. Who knows?
