    Projections?

I use Fantasy Pros - they have it so you can combine 5 different projection sources which includes FFToday. http://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/projections/qb.php

Can the big boards be manually incorporated via custom projections?

Hi Mike - can you please give a quick explanation of how inflation works and how it should be utilized during an auction draft? Thanks!

    #VALUE! in Max Bid

Hi Mike - looks like the issue was the site B and C projections for K and DEF for some reason. I don't know why it affected the overall projections especially since the allocation was 100% FF Today??? Regardless, I loaded the projections again and excluded K and DEF and all is good - I'll just use 100% FF Today for K and DEF. Love this tool!

    #VALUE! in Max Bid

I just downloaded 2.2 and after I compile the cheat seats I get #VALUE! in Max Bid for all the players unless they have a $1 value. I first used the "copy league settings" from my 2.0 version and thought that might have something to do with so I started over and manually put in my settings with the same result. The only other thing I did was import ESPN and CBS projections with the projection pal. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

    Compiler Auction Recommended

I've read the Help Guide in relation to the Overall rankings method, but noticed that there was not a description for "Compiler Auction Recommended". I'm in an auction draft league so can you please describe this ranking method? Thanks!

    Adding IDP to a League

I'm the commish of a 10 year league and want to add IDP into the mix. I need to subtly incorporate it so owners will be willing to give it a chance then ultimately expand it in the next couple of years. Any thoughts on how to best do this? My initial thoughts are: Auction draft as normal to fill the league 15 player roster (QB-1, RB-2, WR-2, TE-1, K-1, Flex(QB/RB/WR/TE)-1, DEF-1, Bench-6) Conduct a separate IDP draft probably via email, post auction draft -- I feel this is necessary since many owners will not know how to properly evaluate IDP values amongst the offensive players so will be hesitant about voting IDP in Draft 5 IDP players: DL-1, LB-1, DB-1, Bench-2 Use standard IDP scoring from Yahoo, ESPN Question - do you still draft a DEF/SP team with IDP? Thanks for your help!

    NFL.com League Manager

Does anyone have any feedback on NFL.com as a free league manager? My league wants to incorporate free agent blind bidding this year. We've used ESPN the past few years, but we don't like the way ESPN Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) works and NFL.com's system appears to be what we want. NFL.com has Waiver Acquisition Budget (WAB) where the bid and reward process runs once a week (early Thurs AM if wavier period is set to 2 days) and then any owner can pick up the remaining free agents on a first-come, first-serve basis after Thurs and up to the start of individual free agents games. ESPN's FAAB doesn't do this - there always has to be a bid process in order to obtain a player so there are essentially no free agents. The only other key factor I can see right now is live scoring - does anyone have any opinions on how well NFL.com's live scoring performs? (looks pretty good compared to ESPN, http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/help/gamecenterlivescoring) Thanks for the help!

    Advice on free host websites

ESPN is fully customizable, been using it for 4 years. http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/content?page=fflrulesindex2011 Does anyone know of a free FFL site that allows a modified Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) system? With EPSN's FAAB there are no free agents -- ALL acquisition moves are based on bids and processed in batches on multiple days of the week so you always have to bid and win that player in order to add him to your team. What my league is looking for is a single batch of bids to be run on a Thurs and then after that batch is processed any owner could pick up a free agent on a first-come, first-serve basis. I heard Yahoo works this way, but haven't been able to confirm it. Thanks!

    ESPN free agent auction

You select the player you want to drop for each bid, but you select the same player each time. i.e. Owner1 selects Kyle Orton to drop and selects waiver player Tim Tebow to bid on for $7 Owner1 selects Kyle Orton to drop and selects waiver player Brady Quinn to bid on for $5 in the event he doesn't have the highest bid on Tebow Owner1 selects Kyle Orton to drop and selects waiver player Matt Prater to bid on for $4 in the event he doesn't have the highest bid on Quinn That way if both Tebow and Quinn were taken by higher bidders you can still win Prater as you drop Orton

    ESPN free agent auction

My league is going with ESPN FAAB as well. We wanted to have the bid process run once a week and then pick up free agents first-come, first-serve. ESPN doesn't allow this, but I believe Yahoo. does. There was a lot of confusion about how exactly it worked, but after emails and calls to ESPN I was able to put together the below FAAB rules for the league constitution. Free Agent Acquisition Budget"(FAAB) Waiver System - This is a blind auction for free agents open to every team within the league which enables any owner a chance to pick up any free agent. Owners will have a budget of $100 and a max of 10 transactions with which they can make player acquisitions during the season. Free agent bids will process on each Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun at 10am MT and the owner with the highest amount bided will be awarded the player, the bid will be subtracted from that owner's budget, and a transaction will be deducted. At that point the next waiver period begins and bidding commences until the following day at 10am. For example, free agent bidding will commence as soon as NFL week 1 concludes. Owners may bid on any available player up until Thurs, 9/16 10am at which the bids will be processed with players awarded to the highest bidders. At this point free agent bidding opens once again and then those bids are processed on Friday, 9/17 10am. This process continues for Sat, Sun and carries on throughout the season. The only way an owner can pick up a free agent is by winning them with the highest bid. There are no first-come, first-serve pickups after the bidding process The minimum bid an owner can make on a free agent is $0. This means an owner can bid $0 on a player and win if no one else bids on that player. This will enable an owner to still pick up players if they blow their budget as long as they have transactions left (10 transaction limit) During the waiver period, no owner can see any other team's bids or bid amounts. In the event of bids of equal amounts for a player by two teams (a tie), waiver order priority (inverse order of the standings for that week) determines the winner of the player Owners should consider prioritizing multiple players to bid on for each single player they wish to drop. So if you really need to pick up a waiver player for that week you should plan on bidding on other players unless you put in a bid you know will win. For example: Owner1 selects Kyle Orton to drop from his roster Owner1 selects waiver player Tim Tebow to bid on for $7 Owner1 selects waiver player Brady Quinn to bid on for $5 in the event he doesn't have the highest bid on Tebow Owner1 selects waiver player Matt Prater to bid on for $4 in the event he doesn't have the highest bid on Quinn [*]The bid patch process runs on Weds at 10am Owner3 wins Tebow with the high bid of $10 Owner9 wins Quinn with the high bid of $8 Owner1 wins Prater with the high bid of $4

    Auction Values

I'm in the same boat, commish of my league and going auction for the first time. Is it recommended to pass out a generic auction value list to everyone? Do most auction commish's do this? Thanks!

    ESPN v. Yahoo as host

This will probably come across very noobish, but how do you customize the ESPN league manager note to this level? I just see the simple commands like link, image, formatting. How do you get widgets and menu dropdowns like that? Update - I answered my own question... Here's a guide, http://www.thecodeguide.com/ffguide/ff_HOME.html
