Michael Thomas has gotten better throughout the year

Recommended Posts

Thomas was knocked a bit for his lack of touchdowns and a bit of a low ceiling.

Later in the year, he scored in weeks, 13, 14 and 15. Then 2 more today. With teams needing to focus on the 2 stud RBs, Thomas will be gold next year. Glad I have him as a keeper.

Given there are not many stand out WRs at this point going into a new year, this guy is Mr. Consistent as he has had only 2 games with less than 5 catches. 4 of his last 6 games he has over 93 yards receiving with 80 and counting today along with the 2 TDs.

Although RBs will seem to be the trend this coming year in round 1 of the FF draft, don't sleep on this guy. He would be a great pickup at the turn in round 1-2 along with a back.

Wasn't he a second round pick going into this last season.

I don't see why it would change for next season.

He finshed 7th in avg per game in ppr and the player L Fitzgerald you finshed 6th I don't think can be trusted.

But Brees also had his worst ff point output since 2005.

So I would expect much of the same from Him.

Early a wr1 and worthy of a second round pick.

Don't find this post too be ground breaking.

Thank you.

Didn't you see the final score?

Nope.

That's easy to say after the fact but you specified you bet on this:

" the money line" in the New Orleans game thread. Never mentioned any points otherwise than the -5 mentioned in the main post.

Nice move.:) But just kidding ya, we don't win them all.

Anyway, Thomas is underrated to a degree. It's not always about what round but in what position you take them since you only have one pick per round. It will be easy to get caught up in the RB run that will probably happen in round 1 next year having a fear of missing out on a top 10 back. This next year's FF draft will be very interesting for those slotted 7-12 in my opinion. This is a tough year to say what pick position is the best.

Actually I said , I bet on the game and took the money also just for kicks.

Live in Reno and it was 5.5.

Winner but I did lose on the money line.

Took the Steelers also lost, but did take jags Money lick just for kicks also winner.

Took the pats laying the 13:5 winner and put just a little on the Titans money line lost that one.

Good winning weekend.

Other than taking the Pats minus the points I stayed away from the betting in these playoffs. And I'm glad I did because it would not have been pretty for me given what I was thinking.

I would have won Minni and Philly, but would have been toasted on KC and LA.

What if Brees were to leave NO. How much would this effect Michael Thomas ranking?

A QB change is huge. Will just have to see how it all plays out before anticipating productivity. One thing about Thomas though, he is like a better Jarvis Landry. Can be good for any QB both as a safety net and a go down field guy.

I don't see Brees leaving, but if he did that of course hurts all current value too all The WRs and Rbs.

But I don't think that will happen.

I do think he returns and we see about the same number as this past season from him and Thomas both.

Thomas should remain a wr1 and be drafted so, he was a second round pick in most if not all ppr leagues this past season, so I would assume about that same next season.

Thanks for the post, and the reply.

Ps I didn't bet the Eagles vs Falcons game.

His value stays the same next season as it was pretty high this year anyway. Late 1st or early 2nd ppr pick, 2nd round standard.

I think I would like to draft late and get him in on my first two picks.

C Davis of the Titans scores two tds vs the Pats.

Now that's a wr that I want too target late in the draft.

His numbers during the reg season where awful, but new coach and going into his second season, I think he will be worthy of a late draft pick.

Too the OP thanks for this post, it could make for some Interesting debate.

A lot of guys I know saying the same thing. Watch for hype around July, by then it could be a pipe dream getting him that late. He could even be overvalued by preseason.

Another would be the Chargers M Williams.

If he can stay healthy.

Mike Thomas should be a mid to late first round pick in redraft next year. In dynasty he's worth a lot more; maybe only Nuk is worth more imo. With Brees coming back I'd take Thomas over Julio next year, as he's averaged more points the JJ the last 2 years.

Cory Davis and LA Mike Williams both have great potential, but neither belong in the same coversation with Mike Thomas.

This kind of sums up the reason for my post. I have Thomas in a keeper format, and I have been watching him fairly closely throughout last year and this year. Thomas started out consistent in his production and it has slowly been getting more solid little by little. I think next year he will be even better with the running back situation that the Saints have. Other teams will totally need to game plan against the run first in my view.
