track 1 16 Posted October 6, 2016 dez bryant is the next dwayne bowe...falling star i don't even think he's a top 10 wr anymore...i mean compare him to antonio brown or julio jones or aj, dez just can't get the seperation like these other receivers. and he won't come back for another 4 weeks. i thnk this is a good trade imo off topic: i used to work at the nike store at northpark mall here in dallas and dez used to walk in the store and act like a total a-hole. he expected to get everything for free since he was a dallas cowboy. on the other hand owen wilson used to walk in the store higher than a kite lol
Phil Simms 11 127 Posted October 6, 2016 Desperate for a TE I added Witten, his targets go up when Dez is out. I like Fuller, have him on my 2 and only fantasy teams. That being said, isn't Dez still holding enough name value to get more in return?
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 6, 2016 I can't stand Dez. I can't fault you for making this trade, but when Romo returns in week 8, Dez may improve. Dez and OBJ seem to be on the same path.
weepaws 2,452 Posted October 6, 2016 It's going to be interesting when Romo comes back. I know they will return to him at Qb , but I think they should stay with Dak. I would make this trade also.
jgcrawfish 232 Posted October 6, 2016 This isn't a separation thing. Dez isn't the same QB without Romo. The fact is that Cowboys offense has changed under Dak, more RB work, more designed QB runs, more middle of the field work. Jason Witten isn't what he used to be, which is why Cole Beasley is seeing more work across the middle routes. They are minimizing Dak's risk by throwing safe throws which has minimized Dez and coupled with his injury he's been pretty useless. All that will change when Romo gets back because the offense will open up a lot more. I have Dez as a "buy" after this weekend if he has another down week. His value will be as low as it can get without the Romo light at the end of tunnel being visible yet.
Fearsome 22 Posted October 6, 2016 I just traded Dez for Alshon Jeffrey. I needed a receiver this week that was actually playing and thought this was fair value. I may have even gotten the better end of the deal...I hope
thePRO 78 Posted October 6, 2016 Dez stats are sick with Romo. Think it backfires for you. Of course Romo could always get reinjured so...
wazu 14 Posted October 7, 2016 Dez stats are sick with Romo. Think it backfires for you. Of course Romo could always get reinjured so... Yeah, if Romo comes back, the over/under for him to play before his next season ending injury will be about 1 quarter. He's done. His body has tried to tell him but he ain't listening. Should retire while he can still walk.

His body has tried to tell him but he ain't listening. Should retire while he can still walk. He just needs to adapt. He had his best season only two years ago. Broken collarbones isn't really something that changes your overall health. This back injury was kind of a freak incident. Part of what makes him so good is his ability to move around the pocket and scramble. He needs to cut that part of his game out because that's when he gets hurt. Without that, he's still better than Dak though. Especially for Dez's value. Should be interesting.
