cmac13 0 Posted August 9, 2006 Denver's new #1 Running Back Mike Bell went in the 5th round in a draft held today. I think that is a bit too high. What round should he be selected? Where does he rank in the top 30 rbs?
Me_2006 14 Posted August 9, 2006 I dunno if I would rank him in the top 30, but Shanahan is good for a 1,000 yard back every year so he may be worth a look as a #3 or 4 back in some leagues. Round 5 is a bit of a reach for him since he will definitely split carries with a few other backs but I say if you get him in the later rounds he would be a definite steal because everyone doesnt know about him landing the #1 RB spot in Denver just yet. Where does he rank in the top 30 rbs? 2004 - Quentin Griffin - 4th round 2005 - Tatum Bell - 3rd round 2006 - Shanahan - priceless How many times do we have to be fooled by Shanahan before we recognize the late rounders to be the guy. I would hope Tinker Bell's stock drops and that Mike Bell cotninues to rise and take Tinker later
Bananarama 0 Posted August 10, 2006 seeing how i don't trust denver's running situation...I would not get Mike bell higher than my 4th RB and at most in the 8th round of a 12 team draft
Jeremy 0 Posted August 10, 2006 It's possible the starting RB for the Broncos isn't even on their roster right now. (Chris Brown? Thomas Jones?) I wouldn't take a shot at Mike Bell before I at least drafted a starting lineup (1 QB, at least 2 other RBs and 3 WRs).
