Ray_T 588 Posted September 14, 2017 David Johnson got hurt. I need to do some dealing to mitigate some risk. This is a 12 team keeper league (keep 3) with standard scoring (no PPR) We start 2 RB's and 3 WR's. My RB's are: David Johnson-----> injured Jordan Howard Paul Perkins Mark Ingram. My WR's are: Diggs Crabtree Demaryius Thomas Agholor ------> waiver wire add Amendola ----> waiver wire add Zay Jones----> rookie Having just added Agholor and Amendola, I think I have enough depth that I can Trade one of my starters for some help at RB. Player A has the following: RB Devonta Freeman Samaje Perine Doug Martin D'onta Foreman WR Jordy Nelson Moncrief Devante Parker Allen Robinson -----> injured John Ross ----> rookie I was thinking of making a pitch for Doug Martin. As it is, Perine isnt doing much for him I won week 1 he lost week 1, and with nobody capable of starting his second RB position, he may be 0-4 before Martin returns to the fold. also, his WR depth is not as good as it should be. I can afford to lose 2 of the next 3 games if it turns out that way. but I dont think he can. so I was thinking of offering: Demaryius Thomas and Mark Ingram (or Paul Perkins) for Devante Parker and Doug Martin First question, should I do this? second question, What are the chances he will accept this? third question: do you see any better alternatives? Byrdman5 104 Posted September 15, 2017 1. I would do this before AP gets more involved. Also I think Parker should have a good year and will not be much of a drop off from DT. I would try to make the trade, prefer to get rid of Perkins. 2. Parker has not played yet and neither has Martin so they hold high value. Your offing a Rb in a 3 way committee. Low chance 5%. If I were them I would just wait for Martin to come back. 3. I think this is a bad trade partner, u both want a legit rb2.
bobjay00 22 Posted September 15, 2017 I agree with Byrdman5. He needs a #2 RB too. Plus taking DThomas out of your line-up will hurt and Martin isn't enuf to stop the pain.
weepaws 2,456 Posted September 15, 2017 Wouldn't make that trade. I'm still not sure what to expect from Parker, everyone seems to think he's going to be a top ten wr because of Cutler, Cutler! And there is no guarantee that Martin isn't going to be coming back to a RBBC himself just like the one Ingram is in. And because I do think that will be the case I'd rather keep Ingram and Thomas. Great question thanks for the post m
