“Capable” is relative. There are still a lot of boomers that were/are “capable” of taking care of their longtime home but just don’t/didn’t want to so they sold it. Even if they don’t go to a retirement home, they could still buy a smaller home (presumably for similar or less than their current home is worth) or move to an apartment or condo (that’s what my parents did). Obviously they don’t “have” to do that but historically that’s what’s happened. I think with the huge increase in equity there were a lot of boomers that renovated their houses to make them more liveable for an older person. Also I’m sure a decent amount that have their millenial kids that may not be able to afford their own home living with them and maybe taking care of them.

To cash in on the equity. Then could either buy a smaller house in cash, rent, or move to a retirement home/community. Although the cost of even buying a smaller house in cash is likely deterring some from doing it though.

I agree that you can’t compare gas prices to 2020, but saying Trump destroyed the demand for gas is equally not serious.
-
So you’ve seen them just not where you live?

They want work visas? That’s weird, the GC told me they just want handouts and to commit crimes -

I never said you did, I was asking the question -
At least there are a few GC righties that have eyes

The gas pump stickers were more prevalent around 2021/2022, although @Baker Boy claims he’s never seen them. You’re saying you’ve never seen them either? Baker Boy also says he can’t remember the last time he’s seen ANY bumper sticker (I think he’s talking about not even just Trump ones?), he’s definitely a hermit. The GC is so weird. You’ve got @RLLD arguing that all the lower class people love Trump, but multiple people saying they’ve never seen a Trump bumper sticker. Lol.

Step 1. It’s not happening

Has there been a significant price increase since Biden? I see this forum post from 2018 where someone paid $270 (but not sure how this one compares to what OP got, I googled it and apparently it’s been discontinued) - https://community.cartalk.com/t/should-i-replace-the-battery-agm-worth-the-cost/129890 -

Do you also drive a Kia Soul? -
Lol, I’ve seen them all over and my town is probably only like 55% Trump. You need to get out more. I forgot you were the one saying you’ve never seen a house with both a confederate flag and a Trump flag in a previous thread. You’re either a liar or a hermit.

None of it? Not even Trump bumper stickers and flags? Or Joe Biden “I did that” stickers on gas pumps?

Is this what you keep yammering about regarding MSNBC? 1. This is only comparing the Biden vs Trump years, I didn’t see anything about it being the worst of the lower classes lifetime 2. It’s not MSNBC saying those things, it is some dude fact checking MSNBC although he is correct To the people saying why are we talking about 2008, RLLD has now made the claim that the current economy is the worst of the lower classes lifetime across three different threads. It’s not like he just made one passing comment, he continues to repeat this ridiculous notion and has yet to provide any evidence to back it up other than “because inflation.”

I just listened to this. Did you, or did you just search “worst economy of lifetime” in YouTube and copy paste? 1. Despite the title, there was no actual discussion about what made it “the worst economy of his lifetime” as compared to other periods (and this guy is pretty old so he’s been through more than just 2008). The only comparison I heard him give was vs before the Covid pandemic. 2. There was also not much discussion about how it was impacting the lower classes worse, except for one comment about the “wealth distribution,” but that’s moreso driven by the rich getting richer. In fact at one point the other host even commented about wages being up for the bottom 50%. This video does nothing to support your argument.
