its not unusual for good players to get turfed when a new regime comes in.

 

New GM, new coach, new gameplan, player does not fit the new system..... Then said player gets Traded or released.

 

as these organizations havnt been highly stable, there have been a few of these scenarios that play out. So this does not surprise me.
