Mike FF Today 607 Posted August 16, 2018 Here are the results from the FFToday Staff league draft which was held Monday night.- 18 rounds, PPR league - Draft strategy comments from each owner. The late-round QB approach was certainly in effect. Round by Round results
Maulers1973 117 Posted August 16, 2018 Skimming the teams I like Krueger's the best. He should win that league!!
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted August 16, 2018 Kreuger is loaded in my mind. I love hitting RB hard like that and the soaking up the leftover devalued WR's who should be heavy target players...and he still got Terrific Tom. Really nice draft.
Brutal Brutus 182 Posted August 16, 2018 I like the very balanced Hollis team. Bell, Gronk and Wilson give him 3 positional match up advantages over just about everyone in the league. The rest of his starters I'd consider either average or above average for the roles on his team. I also noticed that defenses are rarely an experts last round pick like once were. I don't think most in the league cared for my strategy of going RB-RB-RB with the first three picks... hell, I didn't really like it either. We'll see how it works out. Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted August 16, 2018 At 1.06 in my big money, I am thinking of taking Kruegers approach. Like literally Fournette, Howard and Mixon if they fall right. I am not a fan of his receivers at all though. I think the strategy is right, but i just disagree with the player selection.
Frozenbeernuts 1,652 Posted August 16, 2018 After looking at the draft, I am changing my mind. My big money league is only 10 owners, and I like the receivers in the 4th and later. In a 12 man league, my targets for my Wr1 are gone by the time I pick most likely. Hill, Cooks, and Robinson. So yeah RB, RB, RB in a 12er isnt too appealing. Especially when you can get guys like Ingram or Cohen without paying a premium in ppr.
listen2me 23 1,538 Posted August 16, 2018 After a quick glance, Kruge has a good team for sure. I also like 8s team. The mike williams pick was awful however.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted August 16, 2018 Fine picks except Delanie too early and Crowell at all.

stonewall 647 Posted August 16, 2018 Several solid teams. Yes, I like Kreuger's team well.....but like Davis' team even better. I'm usually not a super-late QB guy, but Bortles in the 17th is highway robbery. He has a legitimate chance to be top-ten, and an outside shot at top 5. That's value! Having both AB and Juju wrapped at at WR is brilliant, and backing that up with Hogan, Hurns, Dede, and Fuller fills his pouch with super-value/high upside guys. I'm a little shaky on McKinnon, but really like grabbing Lynch and Martin to tie up the Raider RB's...think Lynch will be big this season. Also, feel like the James White pick was ill-advised. Just too many mouths to feed there, and some weeks he'll get you squat. Shoulda grabbed Clement there....who is gonna have people saying "Jay who?". You guys are all gonna feel silly for not drafting Mayfield late.....
bobby heenan 60 Posted August 16, 2018 ill have to look at this a lil more in depth later....but ya i def love the kreuger start with zeke and mixon...i could go fournette and mixon 1-2 and be happy with that start too.... also nice to get a look at where guys like kerryon and freeman are going right now.....i think someone may end up with a nice bargain on one or both of them
redsrback 30 Posted August 17, 2018 Early mock drafts i did pick 4 was the place to be. Mike has the same strategy as me except I would of taken a TE before 3 WRs in a row. Key to what he did was hit 3 starters at RB, fill his WRs with what is left and round off some RBs that can have big roles. He took Ivory with McCoy possibly facing suspension and getting old. He took Perrine with Guice getting injured. Edmonds with David Johnson coming off injury. I don't buy into Giants back and TE as pick 7 did but his strategy made 5 and 6 look awful.
